I got this just in time for a cross-country (USA) trip. It fit perfectly over the tray table and gave me great access to everything I might need during the flight, without me having to reach into my bag, under the seat or in the overhead. I would recommend this for anyone who wants a book, a netbook, a Kindle, paper, pen, water bottle, asprin, or those small things that you always forget until you are buckled in all at your fingertips. My seatmate was still able to get by my seat with this attached to the tray and I still had plenty of leg room. Great idea that I wish I had for those long overseas flights. I won't travel without this again!

Used this while traveling with baby. Worked as a diaper bag on travel days, placed it over the tray on flights and kept everything handy, even used it on the back of the stroller. Awesome. Got a compliment by the flight attendant on our return flight. Had to be careful of what to place where to make sure it closed without straining the zipper, but once I had that figured out, it was smooth sailing.

I was recently contacted by the distributor of this item through the Amazon network. I'd given it a 2 star rating, some of which is quoted. "...The exterior zipper kept unzipping which led to the bags contents being constantly exposed and/or items falling out..." I contacted the distributor and they told me that they did indeed have a batch that was poorly constructed with inferior zippers and offered to send me a replacement. I received it today and examined it for the faults that I found in the 2 star bag. It really looks like it will work as I originally expected. So I now feel that this is a smart design and in addition have a distributor who is willing to stand behind his product. I'm anxious to try it on a few trips and see if I'll return to this rating later with a fifth star.

An item with good support from the distributor and manufacturer is rare and I like that!

I bought this for a recent trip to Vancouver from Houston and thought it was great! I was traveling with my husband and toddler and the organizer was able to organize my son's markers, my pen for customs, some snacks, ipod + iphones, multiple headphones, 2 water bottles (one for me, and one for my son), and much more. One perk I didn't realize before buying this was that since it kept much of my in-flight belongings on the tray, I had a lot more room for my legs, especially for my knees. I was also able to tether my son's drink and ipod to it via the strap rings.

One small con that I found was that it does not close all the way when you have the whole thing closed, so if I accidentally turn the thing upside down, a stray marker would fly out. I only used it for the flight, though, so I didn't encounter this issue often, so I can live with it.

I was deciding between this bag and the one made by Magellan's, and I selected this one because I needed the large zip pockets for larger items like magazines and papers. The one from Magellan's has a see-through pocket for iphones/ipods, but I have a clip on my iphone, so can easily clip it to my bag and watch my shows that way. I'm really glad I got this and will not fly without it again.

I ordered the Zen when I went to Japan and it worked beautifully. I never had to search for an item or move around to get into anything. Everything was right in front of me. What a product. The zipper broke and I read the company will send you a new one because in 2009 they found the zipper was defective. I emailed the company,mind you this was 2 years later, and a new and improved on is on it's way. I am stunned! I was going to order a new one anyway but they stand behind this incredible product and I know why they do. This product is not only good for flying but also overnights, meetings, anywhere you need to be organized this is the product to have. Thank you Zen Class!

It seemed I was always doing gymnastics in my airplane coach seat, trying to retrieve something from my under-the-seat bag that I needed during flight. And if I put the bag in the overhead, it seemed the seatbelt sign would stay on for most of the flight, leaving me without my in-flight items. This organizer solves everything. I pack it with the stuff I need during a flight and just carry it like a purse through security and onto the plane. After the plane is in the air, I bring it out, set it up on the travel tray and all my necessities are within reach. I reach for this bag FIRST whenever I am packing for travel. It really is one of my favorite travel items.

Although I won't be able to really try it out for 2 weeks, I'm rating it from what I can see so far =) Looks to be good quality and compact. The pockets/mesh/wallet seem to be well placed and I can't wait to use it!

This is a great travel companion for those people who like a lot of small items available at their finger tips. It has pockets for all the things I like to bring on the plane with me. And a place for my coffee cup or water bottle, then I don't have to worry about if we run into turbulence. It would also be exceptional for a child. You can put books, snacks, crayons, pencils, napkins, hand sanitizer etc. Just letting a child set up their travel pack could keep them occupied for a long time.

The darn thing broke the third time I used it. The zipper failed (a fairly cheap zipper IMHO) fatally. Once you see the product you will see that it is not much use without the zipper as everything can fall out. Disturbing for the amount I paid. No joy. No nirvana. Big headache. Lost Wages. I know if I were more Zen I would be able to move on but anyway... caveat emptor.
