Personal story of a Christian life enriched by Buddhist practices,
By Seminarian-Doctor (Maine, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Zen Contemplation for Christians (Paperback)
This book is an autobiography of Elaine MacInnes, a Roman Catholic nun and accredited Zen Buddhist teacher. It chronicals her search for and discovery of a closer spiritual relationship with God through the study and practice of Buddhist meditative practices. It does a great job of explaining Asian practices to Westerners in a way that makes Buddhism seem less "exotic", while preserving its profound message of "One-ness" (for lack of a better word). I'd recommend this book to any Christian looking to enrich his/her prayer life with practices from other traditions, or anyone interested in promoting Christian-Buddhist dialogue.

It was all New Age, not Christian, so I gave up on it.
