This review is from: Zen and the Fine Arts (Paperback)
Many years ago, after a friend leafed through this book, he began to practice zen. He said he could see and feel the essence of zen in the black and white photos of these masterpieces - especially the tea bowls. I have many books on "zen and art" and I have to say that I agree with what my friend saw and felt. This is the best book I've seen on zen art. The photos come as close as possible to convey the emptiness and the fullness of what can't be expressed.
