4.0 out of 5 stars In the moment
These pua books continue to impress me. Their advice is equally applicable to business. Be in the moment when you talk to someone. Go with the flow of the conversation. Do not try to anticipate or direct it. Golden. Weiss gives examples of the hows and explains the whys. Also a good mantra: notice, admire, relate when talking to women. 3.0 out of 5 stars Repetitive and lengthy
For a book that was 100 pages plus, this could have been condensed down to a bout 25 pages, however it has great value in that it offers a different approach than any other standard PUA book. This is not a book for the pick up artist, but rather a natural.

This mantra drives an emotional conversation which leads to a mutual emotional state. An excellent addition to the literature.

5.0 out of 5 stars Zen plus PUA (pickup artist), what more could you ask for?, November 14, 2007
I've read a lot of the PUA materials out there, and there's always something new to learn. This book takes things to a new level by adding Zen teaching and wisdom to the mix. I learned a lot about Zen, and saw how these concepts could apply directly to meeting women, getting to know them, and creating the level of relationship desired. The author has synthesized an awful lot of information into one book. I think this would appeal to anyone interested in improving their social skills, and especially in meeting more women with confidence and success. My only question is, how do I meet the woman on the cover? ;)

5.0 out of 5 stars Remarkably Good Advice, February 7, 2008
Remarkably good both in terms of Zen teaching and also (separately and together) as regards meeting women. (I am one, so I know the suggestions are user-friendly and likely to bring success quite often). Check out the "Look Inside This Book" option that amazon thoughtfully provides.

5.0 out of 5 stars everyone could use a little zen in their life, February 14, 2008
And that's true for meeting women too. For someone who grew up with very little confidence I decided to read this book out of curiosity, purely, you know. I am married, but I worry about the future. I have been divorced and have been through too many failed relationships. Zen means more than just picking up girls, it's a matter of becoming at peace with one's self and finding our very own center. Women love a confident, self assured man and that is what the author is trying to convey through Zen techniques. Trust me, Zen works, but there is more to it than picking up someone, it is a way of life.

5.0 out of 5 stars Surprisingly good, November 27, 2009
This thin book, while expensive, is amazing. I am a woman, happily single, with several years of mediation practice, and I plan to be in an intimate relationship some time from now.

The word Zen in the book's title is appealing along with its strong focus on listening and relating skills. I want to improve mine (and to get the men's perspective on relationships), and this book delivers. The first impression was that the author is generalizing too much. However, the deeper I went, the deeper the book turned out to be.

Please, practice the method. I am a woman, and I feel it is impossible to turn down a man who would approach me this way. Absolutely. It is impossible to resist that mantra: find an emotion, feeling or trait, notice, admire and relate. This is what I do now with different people around (for fun, for learning, for pleasure). It is amazing and exhilarating to notice and see people, to admire their traits, and to relate. People light up and so do I.

The baby-steps preached by the author, his suggestion to consider every encounter as a learning experience, and to notice and approach women everywhere will make good results unavoidable. Hey, men, try this book and this approach. Both you and your woman will be much happier.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best book on "pickup" out there. This stuff works!, July 29, 2008
I had a review up here before but all the reviews dissappeared. What's up with that? Oh well, I'm back to say this is indeed the best book on pickup out there. The Zen stuff is just icing on the cake. The book is filled with assignments, step by step instructions that will take you from where you are now to where you want to be, whether that's in a relationship or casual dating or whatever. It really explores all the variables and gives you some solid advice on improving your game and getting results. Definitely a well written and well thought out guide.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best of the "how to be a pickup artist" genre, by far, December 22, 2007
There are a lot of books, ebooks, cds, dvds, and personal coaches out there trying to get the attention of the growing PUA (pickup artist) market. This book zigs where others zag. It is a concise guide packed with wisdom and practical advice. Follow the assignments, read the whole book, apply what you learn, and you WILL have success. This book cuts to the heart of the issue, and delivers the goods. Do yourself a favor and get a copy.

4.0 out of 5 stars Zen?, March 26, 2008
A good read.

This book is good for beginners, nice guys who have tremendous approach anxieties. It will modify their core level of thinking. I found it interesting but no match for books from PUAs like Style, Mystery.

I also found that it doesn't quite realate to true Zen which is instant enlightenment not this kind of mundane. In addition the symbol on the girl's back is Tao-YinYang not Zen.

Conclusion

If you've already read those books, you can skip this book.

If you're infected with NGS Nice guy syndrome - this is a must.
