Each year I look forward to purchasing this wall calendar. I have it right in my home office, where much of my contemplation (life/work) is done. I no longer have to choose a wall calendar every year...... this is THE ONE !

I am a fan of Shunryu Suzuki's writing, and the Asian artwork/calligraphy on the calendar is a beautiful accompaniment. I put the calendar in my office, where I can see it from my computer; it reminds me to breathe.

I love his books, his sayings -- and the art work in this calendar is terrific. If you are spiritual at all, this calendar is for you.

When I was working, I had this calendar (last year's) perched on a very prominent wall in my cubicle. Now that I'm not, it hangs on a Chinese Red door in my bathroom. I enjoy the drawings and read the quotes as I get ready for the day, and somehow it makes me more serene, relaxed and focused...not so grumpy! :-) Great calendar. Not at all cheesy, like the ones with flowers and Buddhas. The writings are pretty profound too--not the "fortune cookie" stuff that I've seen in other Zen calendars.

This is the second year in a row I've purchased this calendar, and am likely to continue the trend. Printed on heavy, glossy paper, these simple yet profound images and quotes help me maintain a centered state of mind as my schedule becomes anything but peaceful.

I bought this calendar for the art work which I enjoy looking at every day. I have it hung near my computer and I find it pleasant to let my eyes rest on it when not on the screen. I have no knowledge of Zen, but what do you need to know to enjoy good art? I must have accidentally rated it 3 star but meant to rate it 5 star. it's a lovely calendar.
