This product does NOT have a "built-in rechargeable battery." The speaker requires 8 "C" batteries and the transmitter requires 4 "AA" batteries.

Amazon Verified Purchase
The unit works as advertised. Being that it works on transmission signals, I tend to get interference at times from neighbors cordless phone, even at times hearing the whole conversation. This is not the fault of the unit rather my proximity to others homes.

The unit works well. The sound is clear and sufficient. Don't expect a booming bass or dynamic highs and lows. If you want to pump music to a room inside or on your deck outside for background listening then this unit will work fine. However if you are looking for more than that then there is a problem. The unit itself has no separate volume adjustment. The volume is dictated by the source, for example your iPod. So if the volume output of the iPod is not loud enough for you, you're out of luck... you're stuck with what you have as far as volume goes. BnB Beatles Depot

A lot of static
I purchased this unit, but regardless of how I position either the receiver or transmitter I get a lot of noise. This is with or without my mp3 player being used. Read more
