Great series...,

This review is from: Zenith: Bk. 1 (Paperback)
I remember first reading the Zenith series in 2000AD and thinking it was a great change from the usual superhero stuff. The supers in Zenith were much more human - flawed, scared, unsure etc and all of those other things. Put a lot of that down to great writing by the good Mr. Morrison.
So Zenith is an egotistical rock star type who just happens to be able to fly, is very strong etc. His attitude gets him into all sorts of trouble (reads just like a tabloid) but then real trouble appears and you wonder what he'll do about it. I have books 1 and 2 but the full set are very hard to come by (big hint for some reprints folks). Those who like Kingdon Come by Mark Waid and Rising Stars by J. Michael Straczinski should enjoy Zenith.
