Enliven your travel with this compact, lightweight DVD player. The battery lasts for four to five hours at a stretch, so load it with your favorite movies or bring along your MP3-encoded CDs for maximum music--the DVP7771 handles both. It uses a bright, seven-inch liquid crystal display. Playback options include standard DVD videos, CDs, CD-Rs, and CD-RWs, as well as MP3-encoded discs. Variable high-speed scan lets you fast-forward or rewind from 2 to 100 times the normal viewing speed, while programmable options can block mature DVD material. With 4x and 16x moveable zoom you can study screen images in closer detail, even during playback. Program up to 20 tracks for playback of CDs or DVDs. Certain DVDs enable you to change your viewing angle.

Internal speakers simulate surround sound, and the unit also decodes both DTS and Dolby Digital 5.1-channel surround sound (for use with a surround speaker system and an AV receiver with 5.1-channel analog inputs). S-video carries video signals from the DVD player to compatible TVs and bypasses the TV's internal comb filter--eliminating additional signal processing for a clearer picture. The player includes an ultrathin card-type remote control for added convenience.

The screen is only 7", not 15"
There is no radio.
There is no "regular" TV.
Battery does not last for 1 week.

The picture is nice. The built in speakers are not all that great, but the sound is excellent with other speakers or even cheapo headphones. It does not get excessively hot with heavy use. I wasn't floored by the quality but it is still a very nice little DVD player.

I purchased this as a gift and it broke within a few months I would not recommend it.
