I bought this to play DVD's, CD's,and vhs tapes...It does these things
flawlessly. It has NO tuner (clearly stated) but it will accept tuner input from another source, or even home video or other vhs tapes for
recording on the vhs tape player, also home videos from the included DVD player could be recorded on vhs...unbelievable bargain for all these features. It is a terrific back-up unit in case your main, many featured, higher quality player-recorder fails and has to be returned for service. I have "2" of them.

I'd read great reviews for this product. However, because all of today's electronics are made so poorly,cheaply,& not meant to last, I've had especially bad luck with almost everything I've purchased in the last 5 years. Usually I have to make multiple returns.This item is no exception- other than the fact that the outside vendor I purchased it from tells me it is no longer in stock. The problem was that with every VHS tape I played in this deck, the color cut out & back in throughout the play. At first I thought maybe it was the tape which was deteriorating, but usually it's the picture tracking that goes; I've never seen it with the color. When it became apparent that it did it on EVERY tape I played, I had to send it back. As I said, EVERY brand of DVD or VHS equipment I've purchased has had problems,they are just not near the quality they were in the `80s. I'd rather pay more & get a better product, but price makes no difference. I guess any one you get will be hit or miss and I'm not even sure the odds are 50/50, so beware of non-Amazon vendors who will have high postage and require you to pay the return shipping.

I bought 2 for my kids at christmas and for a referburshed product it works like new. It plays DVD and VHS movies with good quality picture. Definitely a good buy for the money.

I recently bought the Zenith DVD/VCR and it was everything I had expeced and more. It arrived within 4-5 days in excellent condition. I was also impressed with the actual manufacturing date of the product as being March of this year. I had thought since the price was so good it may have sat on the shelf for a year or more.

I was surprised at the high quality of this DVD VCR combo at this low price. I particulary liked the features of auto rewind on the VCR and the ability to make VCRs from DVDs in the same unit. I have had absolutely no problems with this fine performer.

I bought this because I had heard this was a good VCR/DVD combo unit for the money. Since none of them last any length of time is a reason not to invest a lot in a VCR/DVD player. The unit was shipped on 10/29 and arrived 11/7 but I was out of town. Thus I did not actually receive it in my home until the 10th. The set up screen did not appear as per the instruction manual. Set up was more complicated than it should have been. Once up, the VCR ran ok. But the first DVD played had a split screen through the trailer. I removed it and replayed it, this time it ran ok. After that, I tried 4 other DVDs, and about 50% of the time the split screen appeared with no ability to replay it correctly. My neighbor is an electronics guru. He looked and confirmed that my settings and connections were right. So I tried three more, it got worse. I tried running the same DVDs in a Sony DVD player, everything was fine. Because it was more than 14 days after the original purchase, the vendor would not take it back. I had to call LG, who services them. They were to send me return authorization and shipping labels. I called them on the 13th of November. Three calls later, I am still waiting on shipping labels and I still have a defective device.

I understand lemons happen, but service quality was poor, so I would not recommend this device as a purchase. Just buy one at a store, you might pay 10% more but on an $80.00 product that $8.00 is worth it if you can return it should it be defective or broken upon receipt.

Although I have only used the product a limited number of times so far, i have been very satisfied.Initially, I encountered some questions since this model does not utilize coaxial cables for connections as my previous Zenith Combination unit did. However, after speaking with customer service reps as identified in the Instructions, hook-up was completed and, as I said, the unit has worked well so far.

we use this every day in the upholstry shop. it takes a beating by starting & stopping the dvds but keeps running withing any problems. good choice

great for price, was a gift for my 6 year old neice. she can use it fine.

After having my Sanyo VCR for over 13 years, it finally decided to stop working. I mainly use VCRs for recording programs, and this seemed to be the one to replace it. I received it over two days early (which was great). I opened it up and loved the simplicity of the design and the layout. Anyone can use this. The DVD quality is outstanding!! The VCR quality is also spot on, however there were two minor issues. When I recorded over an older TV program I noticed that it didnt delete the first 10 seconds of sound from the older program, so when you would play it back you could hear the older program playing in the background for like 10 seconds, however its not the end of the world. Lastly I didnt realize it didnt have a coaxial inlet or outlet, however it comes with the RCA cords, and almost all cable boxes have RCA outlets. This works so much better than most other VCR/DVD players these days. I highly recommend purchasing this product.
