Zenith offers hard to find functions in one compact unit,
By A Customer
This review is from: Zenith Z2000 AM/FM Clock Radio with CD Player and TV Audio (Electronics)
This site is one of the few places to find a radio/alarm that plays AM, FM, CD, and TV plus weather bands. Sound is surprisingly good and design is modern and fairly compact. One drawback that this unit has is that the function buttons are difficult to see and reviewer would rather they are labeled with more of a contrasting color/raised lettering for ease of bedside use. Another drawback is that if the user has last plugged in headphones and set the sleep timer, the alarm function will not be heard in the morning. One would have to step up to a Bose for a compact unit offering better sound, and for the price this unit is more than satisfactory.

Not bad for a Bose knock-off,

I had the old Zenith model Z213 and was really impressed. But wanted the CD player, and this one takes a dive. I lost direct access to my favorite stations due to the punchpad is missing because of the space the CD is taking up. It has ten programmed channels while I only need two and I have to scan through eight channels of noise to get back to base one. Presets were easy to set, but no more. Tone seems to have been paid very little attention to, as it is nonadjustable, my older player sounded much better. All in all, this isn't a Bose replacement, but a decent substitute for 1\5th the price.

Doesn't sound as good as you'd think,

I guess that because it looks like a Bose, I thought it would sound something like a Bose. It doesn't. In fact, it sounds about as good as a [less expensive] "boombox". On the other hand, it is a pretty stylish little package. If you're looking for portability, looks, and some of the unique features (like TV and Weather bands) or basically just a clock radio, then you'll probably be satisfied. But it is pretty expensive for what you get. If you're looking for knock-your-socks-off sound, then look elsewhere. You'll get a lot more per dollar and per cubic foot from one of those executive mini systems.

Product may seem good, but I'm disappointed in not getting a TV included. Now upon looking at discription of product, it says TV audio. I'm not sure what TV audio is, but I'll use the product as some gift.If you could provide me with information on what is "TV audio"? Thank You Don Snellenberger |
