4.0 out of 5 stars a nice sampler of newer ninja tune ish, June 23, 2004
This review is from: Zentertainment 2004 (Audio CD)
this is a good sampler of the newer ninja tune roster. i can't say there is a great diversity among the tracks, even though they are different styles of electronic music, most ninja tune stuff has a similar feel. i would of appreciated some more experimental tunes and hip hop tracks (not really feeling sixtoo at ALL)... I would say the highlights on this sampler are definitely the DIPLO track, whom I will be checking for in the future. His track has a very bouncey southern hip hop feel to it, with some funky and spatter drum n bass undertones. really original and really gets your head noddin. the blockhead, wagon christ and jaga jazzist tracks are my other faves. if just getting into ninja tune, i would recommend their 'funkingfusion' line of compilations before this one, just because they are more diverse and i prefer older ninja tune stuff to this newer crop.
