There are No Koans in this Book!,
By The BabyNous Cult <babynous@krl.org> (Puget Sound, Washington, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Zenzen: A Book of Illustrated Koans (Paperback)
This is a horrible book, not only are there no koans in it, but the illustrations are dreadful! What it is, is a mind numbingly inane psuedo dialogue between a very snotty zen master & a sterotypical western/christian pinhead. It is minimal and pointless. ( 0 Stars )

ZENZEN or "Not...at all!",
By Seizon (Japan) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Zenzen: A Book of Illustrated Koans (Paperback)
The caricature, the "What's that?", the word-play, the choice of punctuation, the ...,...subtly Socratic for "individual" consciousness. Belongs, like Zen, in the Self Help Catagory: See it all or not at all! |
