Product Description

No ice needed with InnerCool Integrated cooling system coolers. The built in cooling system was compared to a regular cooler in the 6 can cooling version. A regular cooler and 6 can Zero Degrees InnerCool cooler were placed in a room at 72 degrees with six pre-chilled (40 degrees) soda cans inside. The temperature of the can was measured every hour for ten hours. The Zero Degrees cooler was consistently cooler by 10 degrees or more for over 10 hours staying close to the original 40 degree temperature. What makes InnerCool so cool is its specially engineered, extra layer of SuperCool gel. Your InnerCool cooler with the SuperCool gel layer can be frozen or refrigerated for awesome cooling power. The specially engineered layer allows the bag to be folded compactly and opened even when frozen. And InnerCool’s extra layer of SuperCool gel holds cold and keeps things colder, longer than other bag coolers.

5.0 out of 5 stars A really cool cooler July 26, 2010
Verified Purchase
This cooler works as advertised. It will keep drinks/food cold for many hours even when left in a hot car. It can fit enough food and drinks for car shows, boating and a day at the beach. I even tested it by putting a warm drink in it with the cold drinks and it cooled it to the same temperature. It does have one potential drawback. When you remove it from the freezer it is very stiff and the liner sticks up a little to far so that it can be caught in the zipper that closes the lid. I have used it about a dozen times now and so far this has not occured but I am very careful with it. A simple redesign of making the liner a little shorter so it does not stick up as high would negate this concern.

3.0 out of 5 stars On The Fence May 8, 2011

I bought this for an overnight cooler on short camping trips and when I go out fishing. It's the perfect size for that and I love that I can leave it in my freezer and it's there when I need it. That said, I'm not completely sold that it performs well without additional cooling packs. The material is thin and with it completely full (which normally keeps things colder) I noticed the temps of my food had noticeably increased in just 6-7 hours in low 60º weather with no direct sunlight. I had a mix of frozen and refrigerated items. The frozen items had defrosted and everything was about the same temperature. The next morning, after a chilly night in the mid-30's and temps only in the mid-40's by that point, things were just cool; closer to the air temperature. I was nervous about the bacon I brought and the goat cheese had started separating. I'll definitely use cold packs with it in the future but that's going to cut down on space and I still don't think I'd trust it for a multi-day camping trip.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love this cooler, been using for 3 years March 14, 2010
I love this cooler so much that I bought a second cooler for longer road trips. I store them folded, in my freezer, so they are always ready to go. Living gluten-free and eating clean is no problem at all with these coolers.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect! December 16, 2009

My husband and I like to go to B & B's with 2 person Jacuzzi tubs and sip champagne while relaxing in the tubs. This cooler keeps our champage the perfect temperature, and it's just the right size.

It collapses flat and fits in the freezer easily. Stayed cool w/ 3 sheets of techni ice for over 2 days. Temps were highs of mid 70s and lows in the 50s.
Packed it up at 2:30am Friday morning. Kept it in the car while I was at work, took it out to camp in the afternoon. Took it back to the car the next morning. It was still cold when I got home Sunday afternoon.

4.0 out of 5 stars Cool idea...but not enough room in my freezer December 11, 2011

When folded the cooler is aproximately 11 x 11 x 4 inches. Unfolded it opens to approx 12L x 11H x 9W inches. (exterior dimensions)

The sides of the cooler are made out of a thin layer of gel packs. I estimate the gel to be about an eighth of an inch thick on all six sides. The polyethylene vinyl material (PEVA on the inside) feels very durable. The exterior is covered with a canvas material.

The cooler insulates well, even when not frozen.

This is great for picnics or long trips back from the grocery store (I put ice cream in the cooler).

Minus one star because it was made in China. I wish Amazon would list the country of origin for every item.

5.0 out of 5 stars Cold as ice September 30, 2011
Verified Purchase
I bought this for a recent vacation. My wife and I used it on a completely open boat, all day long in the direct sun and at the end of the day the drinks were as cold as they were when we started. We didn't even throw in any ice or cold packs. This works as advertised.
