Let me give you some insights into this purchase. I am a field technician for a wireless carrier and got the Google nexus 4 for a great price. I like the phone, but one of the biggest pitfalls of the LG Google nexus 4 is the integrated battery pack and lack of sd memory. Having stated the obvious for anyone who now has this device, it has a lot of great features but battery life is not one of them. I am a moderate user of the Nexus 4, I use Blue-tooth Sync in my F150 for most of the day and turn off my wi-fi when I drive, and then when I am home or in my office I turn off the Blue-tooth and turn on the wifi. I used to need to constantly have this beast plugged in, you cannot go an entire 8-10hr day of work on one charge if you do anything with this handset. When I bought the Juicer case I charged the case by itself for the 12 hr period, charged my handset on another charger then mated them together and did my experiment of how long this would last. It effectively more than doubled my capacity, although honestly I rarely if ever allow my charge level to reach 15% or even 11 to 3% as I did with this experiment. I got 27.5 hrs of real usage before I hit the red (!) icon that lets you know your handset charge is dangerously low (looks like it occurs at 10% level.) My 27+ hrs included downloading some nfl mobile videos of the Seahawks 2013 preseason games, some camera shots, a lot of sms and voice calls, a constant sync setup for my company exchange server for emails and two other email accounts as well that I monitor, some wifi when I am home and Bluetooth when synched to my company F150 truck, a few mins hear and there playing video games, and other extraneous app usage.Read more ›

Hello,
I received the extended battery case for the LG Nexus 4 today so I cant say how it performs yet but, the item came scratched on 3 locations. Two below power buttons and one above volume rocker the length of the rocker. The damage was not from shipping as the package was in great location. It appeared to have occurred during manufacturing. Also the there are four buttons: volume up, volume down, power, and one from the case which turns on the case to start charging. Two of the buttons have a nice feel to them when pressed. You get a nice click like when you press the phones buttons. The other two don't they feel like there's already some pressure and you don't get that click. I've contacted zero lemon about returns and exchanges and am currently waiting for there reply.

Ill update tomorrow with usage performance as well as ZeroLemons response.

EDIT 8/15/13
ZeroLemon has been very help full A++ on customer service.

The case is essentially an external charger. You turn it on and off when you want or it turns it self off when it runs out of juice. So I tried to charge my phone when the power level was 2 or 3 percent. I was only able to get a max of 72% from case on airplane mode. When radios on and no use 65%. I imagine some energy was lost in the transfer due to heat but I cant confirm.

Pros: Great Customer Service, replaceable battery in case, decent power.

Cons: Damaged, does not provide full charge, a but unsightly, Buttons do not have a premium feel, replaceable battery is expensive

I'm getting a replacement soon if it perfumes better I will update the review.

Overall I would recommend the item to power users. I plan on using only when needed.

Also the screen is slightly lower than case it wont scratch if placed face down.

Thanks hope this helps someone.

the product is fragile and breaks easily, the buttons do not work properly, suffer to be triggered, and the button responsible for the activation of the battery came loose after being used the first time.
flee this company, and especially this product, I do not recommend to my worst enemy.

This was a nice idea, that is if you could carry around two extra batteries fully charged. I dithered between this and the Mugen and am going to have to go with the Mugen. This battery case cannot fully recharge the battery or provide a full days outing.

I received the case and was somewhat disappointed that it was gigantic. I know extended battery cases are supposed to be big...but the case doubles the thickness of your phone and changes its shape to be uncomfortable. When I got it I figured it's still a great option for using occasionally to go to music festivals and places where I would not be able to charge my phone regularly. Nope. My Nexus 4 didn't fit in the case. I finally gave up and returned it.

I just got the case today and I must say it is UGLY! it adds double the girth of the device and just makes it awkward and bulky. However there are some benefits to the added mass. Its great that the battery is removable so its useful for prolonged episodes with no wall charger in sight. However, it feels like a rushed and unpolished product so don't rush to buy it right away. Perhaps the market will provide alternatives in the near future.
