This review is from: Zetetic Astronomy: Earth Not a Globe (Forgotten Books) (Paperback)
This book is an important find. One fact alone is worth the purchase of the book. It begins,"Let the distance from T to figure 1 represent 1 mile, and the fall from 1 to A, 8 inches; then the fall from 2 to B will be 32 inches, and from 3 to C, 72 inches. In every mile after the first, the curvature downwards from the point T increases as the square of the distance multiplied by 8 inches." This first enlightenment shows that a 24,000 mile circumference 'ball' or planet has a simple formula for curvature. It works out that every mile must average a drop of 8 inches. 10 miles must drop 66 feet. After 90 miles, earth must curve down one mile in order to create the roundness required to make the planet described by modern science. The simple formula is inarguable and one begins to see that flat maps are actually quite revealing. When the curvature argument is firmly seated as won by author, Parallax, and it is, what follows is a landslide of eye-opening experiments that prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that earth is flat. There are so many more fascinating experiments and facts that make it all so simple and incredibly clear. To the honest observer willing to cast off the hood of unknowing, cartoonish TV satellite pictures on Dish won't have the same mesmerizing dope effect ever again. Views from an airplane make sense. The moon landing can be seen for the hoax it is. The perversion of science casts light on the naked emperor--to anyone who has the nerve to look. Amazing! |
