My husband ordered this, and when we received it, we were so excited to a have something for the kids to use (the boys are 3 1/2 and love being able to do something all by themselves), as well as for the adults. It is definitely off white, not white as described, but assembles very easily. The product instructions indicate that this product has an air tight seal, but that remains to be proven. The "controller" for the flow of cereal resembles a silicone paddle wheel, which seems to work well when the containers are empty. But once cereal is put in, some of it gets crushed and stuck between the "paddles" questioning the ability of it to maintain an airtight seal. Also, the cap to fit on the bottom of our containers falls right off. We've tried it numberous times and it doesn't stay on. It fits very loosely like the lid on the top of the containers, but because you have to put it on upside down, it falls off. I guess I will just have to experiment with the product and see how many days the cereal can stay fresh, as I have my doubts. I have a feeling we will be looking for a different dispenser in the next couple weeks.

This is a neat food storage idea, but the quality of this product leaves alot to be desired. Although this was very easy to put together, it is shaky and doesn't seem very sturdy once the food is in the containers. The flexible plastic (it's like a silicone material) that is in the bottom of the container that "controls" the portions that come out actually crush some pieces of cereal (I used Multi-Grain Cheerios and also Cocoa Crispies). The top is just a loosely snapped on top. I thought it would have more of an air-tight seal. There is a small flexible plastic cover to put on the bottom of the container (where the cereal comes out) and that seems to have good seal, too bad they didn't do the same type for the top. As a side note, the one I received appreared to be more of an off-white than white.

I'm still going to use the product - my little girls love seeing their cereal in the containers and having it like a candy dispenser. If (or when) it breaks, I don't plan on replacing it. I'll go back to using the Rubbermaid/Tupperware containers.

this item is PERFECT for me,i have a left side deficite from a tramadic brain injury which has resolved in a handicapt.i cant use my left side what so ever.i assembled this item all bymyself with only one hand(my right hand)it was very easy.i highly recommend this item for anyone who wants an item thats not complicated or like me cant do much on their own!
