I hesitated buying this when I saw it in the past because I was afraid that it would constantly spill small amounts of sugar each time I put it down or moved it. I'm happy to say I haven't had any problems at all! If anything it's neater than a traditional sugar bowl/spoon!
I haven't changed the amount it dispenses so I can't say how easy that process is. **UPDATE** Unfortunately as much as I loved this dispenser, it ended up in the trash. After about 6 months it started leaking around the area you squeeze to dispense the sugar. It's a shame it didn't hold up. I'd give it 2 stars now if I could **UPDATE**

Contemporary look & a cool tool once you figure out the locking mechanism for changing the measuring cups. Be gentle & a little patient & it'll be fine. Note: The knob underneath that says OPEN or LOCK is to lock the selected MEASURING CUP in place, not an Open or Lock setting for the dispensing itself. Neat the way it comes w/ interchangable dispensers for 1/4, 1/2 or 1 tsp & also both shake & pour holes from the top. The 1 tsp measure dispenses a little less than a full teaspoon of (white) sugar, so I wouldn't use it for recipes that require an accurate measure but it's good enough for coffee, etc. esp if you're trying to cut back! Raw sugar is understandably even less accurate. But OK if you don't mind eyeballing the amount that comes out. One thing that's difficult is that the shaker cover on TOP is really hard to open or pop off. I ended up making a couple tabs out of clear tape & placed them on the clear part under the gray tabs to make the cover easier to lift off for refills. A bottom cover would've been nice but all-in-all an attractive & neat dispenser; one of the few functional ones I've seen other than the glass bottle type that dispenses a tsp at a time thru a metal spout, which has a very old-fashioned "roadside diner" look to it.

Maybe my husband and I weren't as lucky as the other reviewers because it did not perform as well for us when using the lever on the side that you have to squeeze.
We ended up pouring it out from the top hole.
