The music in this album is absolutely gorgeous. Usually, I'm not happy with attempts to mix nature and music, but this album breaks my stereotypes! Natural sounds are blended with human instruments to create an auditory setting that quickly and gently pulls you into a meditative state. My taiji/qigong instructor uses this music in her classes and I fell in love with it the minute I heard it -- and I wasn't alone. If you're looking for music to perform taiji, qigong, yoga, or just for meditation, this album is a must!

One of the best chinese music CD ever, Perfect for meditation or relaxation, help to be focus. It has a very well balance between traditional instruments and sounds of nature. This CD is one you may want to add to your collection.It worths to buy it!!!.

This cd is soothing, and quiet, and somewhat strangely haunting.It says Martial Arts Music for Physical Fitness on the cover,but, I never even thought of it as that.I'm not into martial arts,and this shouldn't discourage you from buying this as this is very very nice, interesting music, as you may have read from the other reviews.This cd is only in the neighborhood of 45-50 minutes,but it always ready to play over and over if wanted.

Fabulous CD! I love this CD, it' is PERFECT for teaching Tai Chi and that's exactly what I ordered it for. Even if not for Tai Chi, it's very soothing and beautiful.

Made for standing meditation Tai Chi under a different name or style, and very good indeed. My yoga teacher played this for a recent class, and I got a copy. A shame its not available in iTunes, but getting this CD is well worth the trouble. If you do standing meditation, its very good, dividing about a 45 minute session into four parts. I really enjoy this music because of its traditional feel, generally quiet demeanor, and the concealed energy and rhythm which keeps you energized, as well as the nature sounds included. Highly recommend this across the board for prayer, yoga, or meditation regardless of your style.

This is one of the better practice music cd's that I own. It sets a good pace for doing traditional Yang style taichi. If you are not into form work, the tracks are great listening, background music. Very sweet. Just do some standing and listening.

When I ordered this, I was expecting something more like 'new age' music. This is perfectly nice music, it sounds just like I would expect low key Chinese traditional style music to sound. Like great background music for a restaurant or a dinner party. It has some nature sounds mixed in, as other reviews have remarked, the nature sounds fit in well.

This music is nice, its convenient that each track is 10 minutes long, and the CD jacket has a nice short explanation of standing meditation in English (and in Chinese)

I can't find anything that is particularly meditative about this music, and as I said, it is nice Chinese music.
