I am not a tea connoisseur, but this is my favorite tea so far. Silky, smooth, with a complex yet perfect balance of flavors, it has a hint of spiciness and a hint of sweetness from the coconut, which is subtle yet definitely present... I added one packet of stevia (Truvia) and a touch of milk inspired by the other reviews, and it feels like a dessert without the overwhelming sweetness. I will certainly be trying Zhena's other flavors! I just wish Amazon sold the refill bags so as to support the company's effort to be green even more.

This tea is billed as having "natural" ingredients, but, as I read the fine print, I saw that this tea is enhanced with two laboratory flavors, yes, laboratory. Producers can get by with such labeling if the ingredient is chemically identical to the natural one. In this tea there's "natural coconut flavor, natural cinnamon flavor." Straight out of the lab, folks!

Why, oh why, does the customer have to be reminded on the box that this tea is vegan--Hello?--and gluten free? And then there's a boast that this tea provides "The Art of Aromatherapy." Isn't this over-doing it a bit? They claim it's "artisan crafted" which I guess is based on smaller batches of CTC-cut black tea. Hype like this drives me nuts.

I cannot say the tea is unpleasant, though it's on the bland side, and, as previous reviewers have mentioned, lacking in that punch some of us like in a masala chai. I'd say this tea is okay, but just ho-hum .

This is the most amazing tea I have ever tasted! I'm a big fan of coconut, and this tea has the most wonderful coconut flavor and aroma. Every time I drink it, numerous people stop by my office and ask, "What smells so good?"

This tea tastes naturally sweet, but is definitely enhanced with some milk and sugar/honey. Or better yet, with some coconut milk. YUM!

I came across Zhena's Gypsy Tea in Coconut Chai at World Market where I was fully prepared to buy Mightly Leaf, like I usually do. After reading the back of the tin and noticing the hints of cinnamon, ginger, clove, orange and nutmeg in this tea I decided to purchase it instead. I cannot say enough good things about it! I used to be a coffee drinker in the mornings but I find myself not even wanting it anymore. I use one teabag with 8 oz of boiling water, 1/2 cup of skim milk and 2 tbsp of sugar-free Torani Syrup and it is better than any chai latte I've had at ANY cafe, and for only 40 calories. However, it's the taste in the tea that brings this drink to life. It is beautifully scented and not overpowering like some other teas are. This particular tea has such a beautiful balance to it; it allows you to experience all of the flavors. I don't know how Zhena does it, but she creates works of art in her teas and I can't wait to try the rest of the line.

This tea is wonderful! The chai spices are perfectly balanced with the coconut and has a creamy smooth effect in the mouth. Makes an inciting chai latte, and great way to unwind when stressed. It is so sensual and soothing,in fact, that you can use it as a dessert.

Highly recommended!

I tried this tea for the first time while attending a conference in Vegas. I actually used to sneak some of the sachets (not steal) out of our complimentary breakfast back up to my hotel room to enjoy it. Saved a container and looked it up on Amazon to buy it. Still loving it. Making it fills my place with the aroma of coconut and it tastes great with milk. Seriously...try it out. It actually makes my neighbors and co-workers wonder where I got it from and ask me for some. But I'm pretty selfish. For $7, it's well worth it.

Happened upon this today at a local health food store and had to try it since I'm a huge fan of most things coconut. It's the first I've heard of coconut tea, and the coconut chai combo is fantastic. The flavors and aromas compliment one another beautifully. Tastes good plain or with a bit of sweetener (I'm using the coconut sugar I found in the same store, which was also a new discovery, and which is every bit as awesome as the tea.) A fantastic addition to any tea lovers cache, and I sincerely hope they'll offer a decaf version too!

I drink this nearly every day, and have been for at least 5 years! I'm not a fan of many chai teas, and have found no other brand to compare to this! This blend has a perfect, deliciously sweet and spicy aroma (from coconut, which is subtle, and cinnammon, ginger, caradamom cloves, nutmeg, and black pepper), and full-bodied flavor incredibly without bitterness. I don't find the taste to be too spicy or too sweet, though I think it's a rare breed in that it doesn't require sweetening. I've shared this tea with many people, and there was only 1 who said she didn't care for it, which was simply due to her literal tastebuds. As a sidenote, the most 2 recent tins I've bought at my supermarket in September 2011 (that have best by dates of Feb. 2014) taste and smell markedly different than older tins, reminding me of vinegar or something sour. I e-mailed Zhena's Gypsy Tea asking whether they had changed the makeup or concoction of this blend, and they thankfully said no, so they must have been bad batches, which I've never before experienced!

This tea is delicious, and I love drinking it whenever I'm feeling stressed. It has a very tropical taste, without going overboard on flavor. It's wonderful to drink when it's cold outside and I wish I was someplace warmer! Also, the fact that it is not that expensive makes my tea- enjoying experience much more affordable.

I first tried this tea several years ago, but have had trouble finding it locally. I was very happy to find it here. It is not really like any other tea I have tried. It is a little bit chai softened by a little coconut flavor. It is not overly spicy or overly "coconutty". Great vendor as well.
