5.0 out of 5 stars 5 stars for Zig Zag!
I have to admit this was a very good movie. I wasn't expecting this movie to do much as it is rated 1 star! This is the kind of movie I look for "TOTALLY UNDERRATED"! You fall in love with the boy, "Zig Zag" and I was impressed with the characters in this movie and the roles each actor played! A very realistic view of parental drug abuse and neglect/abuse by the abuser...

1.0 out of 5 stars no "blade" or "dark city"...
ZigZag has two things going for it. First of all, the character ZigZag was autistic yet I don't remember anyone ever using any words to describe his condition. For once it gives the audience some credit, allowing them to diagnose the character's situation on our own while also proving that the lead actor (in his first acting role) and the director (in his first role as...

You fall in love with the boy, "Zig Zag" and I was impressed with the characters in this movie and the roles each actor played! A very realistic view of parental drug abuse and neglect/abuse by the abuser. Its tragic effects which transcend from the abusive father toward the innocent young man, "Zig Zag"!I was extremely suprised by the sound quality and the acting was very good! I had never heard of this movie, Zig Zag, and was ever so entertained by the story!! I paid [very little] for it and was extremely happy, I just couldn't understand why I had not ever heard of it! Zig Zag 5 stars from me!! Its a KEEPER

ZigZag has two things going for it. First of all, the character ZigZag was autistic yet I don't remember anyone ever using any words to describe his condition. For once it gives the audience some credit, allowing them to diagnose the character's situation on our own while also proving that the lead actor (in his first acting role) and the director (in his first role as director, he wrote Blade, Blade 2 and Dark City) were extremely effective. Second would be the nasty Cajun boss played by Oliver Platt. And I know exactly who to credit this role to, the WRITER. His lines were perfectly constructed, defining his character quite well, while also adding dark humor to a pretty sappy picture. And sadly enough, the rest of ZigZag is quite sappy. I guess "feel good movies" just ain't for me. And its all been done before in "made for TV" melodramas (especially those found on ABC and Lifetime). The stereotypical abusive drug addict father, the dying "big brother," and of course the prostitute female friend. We pretty much know from the beginning who will die, who will get arrested and who lives happily ever after.
