Book Description

November 12, 2007
While it is relatively easy to find information describing specific interventions, it is difficult to find information on how to develop a comprehensive intervention plan. This textbook presents a process and framework for designing interventions for individuals of all ages with ASD while staying consistent with recent special education trends, including response to intervention (RTI), evidence-based practices, and positive behavioral supports.

With the Ziggurat Model of Intervention, Drs. Aspy and Grossman have synthesized the research on program planning and functional behavior assessment into a useful and user-friendly decision model leading to the development of truly comprehensive, functionally determined educational and behavior support plans. This review is from: The Ziggurat Model: Designing Comprehensive Interventions for Individuals with High-Functioning Autism and Asperger Syndrome (Paperback)
At times hard to read because of the large print, this book does have good psychology based work and various helpful templates for structuring a behavior plan for Students with EBD and Autism.
