I used Zilactin-L shortly after a breakout, and it stopped the pain immediately, and it stopped two of the sores from breaking out.
So far, so good.

This product has changed tremendously! This was the only product on the market that could actually stop outbreaks!! Now, it appears that it is primarily alcohol in content. It doesn't prevent outbreaks and it doesn't numb the pulsating pain associated with the outbreak. Before, this product was a thicker, brown medication. I so wish the company would go back to the original product.

I have been using this product for years and have successfully stopped MANY cold sores from ever coming out.

If I put this product on at the first sign of a cold sore, you know...when it tingles....and before it blisters, I can stop the cold sore from ever coming out.

As soon as I feel the "tingling" of a cold sore starting....I put this product on immediately and keep putting it on every 10-15 minutes for the first 1-2 hours.

Once I know I stopped the cold sore from coming out, I can back off to using it once every 30-60 minutes the first day. Then I use it as directed after that.

I even use this product to prevent cold sores from coming out. I put it on at night before going to bed, and if I know I will be in the sun or wind which has a tendency to flare them up.

Good luck - cold sores are a real bummer in life, and this product has helped me prevent them for many, many years. I DON'T GO ANYWHERE WITHOUT IT....EVER!

A stocking clerk where I shop suggested this to me, when I had a cold sore once. He swore by it because he said he frequently got cold sores, and Zilactin-L worked the best. After chatting for while I was sold. I used it and my cold sores never stayed long when I used Zilactin-L. Sadly I can't find it in my local grocery store, and I went to three CVS stores and still had no luck. Amazon was my one choice when I decided to surf the net. I bought two bottles, and also introduced my friend to Zilactin. Now they too are a fan of the cold sore killer power of Zilactin-L.

I have found this product to work best for me. As soon as I feel a cold sore coming on, I start using this and usually they never turn into a sore, they just dry up and go away.

This is an effective remedy for cold sores you want GONE FAST.
I don't know of any other treatment that is better.

I have the occasional problem with cold sores. After many years of trying product after product this is the only thing that seems to work to get rid of them faster. This product burns like heck when you first put it on. And it tastes like crap if you accidently lick it off. But it does the job. I even have prescription medicine for cold sores and I use this over the prescription due to the side effects of the prescription. I was pleasantly surprised that the packages I received from AmeriRx had a buy one get one free in the boxes. So I ended up with more bottles than I expected. I'm very pleased with that outcome especially since I have not been able to find this medicine on the shelf anywhere since I bought it years ago.

Zilactin is the best treatment for cold sores that I have ever used. It not only protects the cold sore, thus significantly reducing the soreness and pain, it speeds healing. I have tried every remedy on the market and this one is the only one that truly works. I love it and all my friends that I've recommended this to love it also.
