So here's the story...,

This review is from: Zildjian K 16-Inch Constantinople Crash Cymbal (Electronics)
It's a good story first then a sad story.I went to my local Guitar Center not really looking to buy a new cymbal, but I was bored so I grabbed a stick and went into the cymbal room. There was a guy in there playing semi-quietly on a small kit, and so I started hitting crashes on 1 with him. He smiled, so I kept going, and without looking what it was I ran into one of these about 7 into the process. I did a double-take at the cymbal, and he stopped and said, "That's magic right there." I bought it immediately. Now the sad story. A beginning drummer played really hard on my kit (without asking and without me there) and I came back to find, out of all my cymbals, this one was cracked. It was the best cymbal I had ever heard! I seriously almost cried. I had a friend who tried to braise it and repair it, but it only still was about 75% of what it was. The one I've just ordered is the replacement. I hope it's just as good - cymbals are all a little different of course, but here's hoping! Amazon has a way better price than what I paid for this last time, so it made it easy to pull the trigger on this one. I might have to carry it around with me when I'm not playing though. :) |
