Great overtones, December 3, 2004

This is an ultra thin cymbal that shines in jazz and swing. It has the typical sustain associated with the older Avedis series, and wonderful overtones that will allow you to recreate the sound of the great big band drummers.
In addition to being an excellent ride, this cymbal crashes very nicely. It can either be your primary ride, or a left-side crash/ride. I used this cymbal with the 14" Zildjian CIE Vintage hi-hats (ASIN B0002D0532), which are well matched to this ride. I recommend that you go completely with the CIE Vintage series for all of your cymbals if you want to get that big band sound, or to play jazz.
