Toasting may be an acquired taste - but this is an entire set that any roots fan can listen to all the way through and love. This is one of those CDs that on first listening make you say "I need to hear that one again - and that one - and, OK, the whole thing." It doesn't hurt that the vocals versioned here are top notch DEB productions with outstanding sound quality. But also, as the liner notes say, Ranking Joe completed this studio session in two hours, treating it like the dancehall performances he would have been doing at the time. I have many B&F CDs and there are no duds - get them all while you can; what are you waiting for? Still, this one gets a LOT of play.
