Courageous,

Not sure why others must compare to the Alias record when Freddy has been solo since 1994. Compare it to Dreamer's Road if you MUST compare. Many of the songs stayed in my head. Running Home is one for sure, and his lament on Crash the Mirror with the smokin guitar. Very unexpected! Freddy sounds great to me. Perhaps he doesn't use his 5+ octaves here, but Alias was 1991 and Sheriff further back. Most of all I appreciated he had the courage to write several songs about difficult issues--he branched out from his usual love songs. Artists have to do that or they are not an artist. And he doesn't just sing he writes the lyrics and music too. Freddy, I liked the something different.

It's nowhere near the appeal that Alias had, but the album is no slouch either,

Former Alias vocalist Freddy Curci returns with an all-new backing band. You may remember Alias from their late 80s super-mega-hit ballad "More Than Words Can Say." Curci and company try to stay true to the rock formula of the 80s with the lyrics and arraignments on this album, but the band deliver with a more contemporary and modern sound. The result is really a by-the-numbers melodic rock affair, with a few songs that you'll carry with you for a bit. It's nowhere near the appeal that Alias had, but the album is no slouch either.

Simply Awesome! Love this CD. Freddy Curci did an incredible job with this release. Jason Hook's guitar work is amazing!
Delighted it also includes updated versions of 2 songs from the unreleased 2nd Alias album: "How much longer is forever" and " Who do you think you are". Freddy voice sounds even better in the new versions! My definition of a good record: It has to carry me through a two hour aerobic workout routine. Yes, I do replay my favorites over and over if they have the right drum beat and pace I need for my workout. So the songs have to be good enough that I want to listen to them over and over again. In the case of this cd, I am actually prolonging my workout just so I can listen to these incredible songs some more! My favorites from this CD: .The sky is falling;. The Devil's Dance;. I'm Running Home; All it takes is a minute; Everyone's Watching; No Surprise. I can never get tired of listening to Freddy Curci! What an incredible voice! Historically Freddy Curci's CDs are rare and hard to find, grab ZION while it's still available. I am still trying to get his Dreamer's Road CD!

I'm a big fan of Freddy ,but he doesn't have it like he used to. The band is great ! I was looking forward to the vocals of the ALIAS days ,which were the best . Better than Steve Perry .I'm sorry this didn't do it for me ,but don't give up Freddy ,try again ,just don't take so long
