I used 2 of these to mount 2 dell vostro mini towers under a desk. They hold them up just fine but need regular tightening. They were easy to mount, but Im a little weary of those wood screws holding the computers up long term.
Pros: -easy to install -light weight -holds a mini tower just fine Cons: -wobbly when bumped (inherent to the design) -suspect mounting hardware -straps need tightening regularly

This was just what I needed....a simple, economical way to get a cpu up off the floor. An added bonus is that this device allows full air flow around the cpu to prevent overheating.

These are very easy to install to the underside of your desk -- just mount the frame using a few screws. Then you basically strap the computer into the frame if you want it to be rigidly fixed -- or you can hang it down on the straps and stack things on top of it if you want.
I think the only requirement would be that your desk/table be made of a durable material -- hardwood or metal - that can support the screws. Not sure if a fiberboard table would give you enough strength for the screw mount -- but it might. The quality of the materials is excellent and so is the design. I can't think of any disadvantage vis a vis a metal hanging frame for a PC, but I can think of a lot of advantages -- such as adjustability.

Until Amazon.com prompted me to review this product, I had not thought about it since I bought it. That's a good product, in my mind. It seems counterintuitive, but the straps hold the computer sturdy enough that it doesn't wiggle as I plug and unplug USB devices. (OK, a little bit, after a few months, but my computer is mounted under a heater vent so there is lots of expansion and contraction. Just tightened up the straps and there is no wobbling. Those smart enough not to put their desks over the heater vent will not have that issue.)

Ordered 8 to prototype a training room for work. They were a hit and ordered 36 more for two more training rooms.
