The product does what it promises: provides airless environment for food storage or, I use it for souse vide cooking.
It is a good system because you do not need to buy expensive vacume machine, which needs space and electric outlet.
The bags are about $1 each at the time of this review. But quality bags for vacume machines are also on the same order of cost. I thought to wash and reuse the bags, but after trying it, have to admit that is a very hard dollar to earn. I imagine that it would be easy to wash them if only use is storage, because nothing gets cooked onto the bag. I did not try using the dishwasher for them either.
One more piece of information: if one is not careful openning the bag, the part that keeps the vacume rips off.
