These bags/tools work as advertised. They take less space then other vacume machines, are less expensive, are portable. All around they work well. I use them for Sous Vide cooking. Glad I found them and did not have to buy expensive, large, cord bound vacume machine.

My ZIP VAC system works very well. I love to use it to marinate meat. I place the meat and marinade in the container and use the rechargeable electric pump to evacuate the air. It seems the meat marinates more quickly using this system than using a normal plastic bag. Also, it works well for storing left over food. I like this product far better than the Reynolds Handi-Vac system. The Zip Vac bags seem to be more durable than the Handi Vac bags.

ZipVac Sealing System,
There is a trick I've had to use to get the bag to seal and stay sealed. One must take all the air out of the bag until no more air is being removed; then quickly turn the sealing knob to the sealed position. On certain food items like bread, this means that the item will likely be crushed! I like the sealer; however, it could be more foolproof.
