I've had two of these divided containers for about six years. I haven't used them daily, but fairly regularly over the years. Now that my daughter is in Kindergarten, I use them much more often for her lunch. They are still in excellent condition--no cracks in the plastic. As far as usefulness, this is a perfect container for an adult or child's lunch, and so handy! Everything in one container, using only one lid, and no waste. The sandwich area will hold a lot of food, and is really perfect for bento style lunches. The medium compartment is just right for crackers, chips, or a small salad. The small compartment is perfect for grapes, veggie sticks, a dip. And the container fits inside my daughter's Crocodile Creek's Horses Lunchboxwith enough room for a frozen chill pack. Now, I'm not saying to put soup in this thing, but I've used it for foods such as applesauce and ranch dressing, and we haven't had a problem with leakage. But like another reviewer mentioned, we don't toss the lunch around a whole lot. I'm about to purchase another 2 pack for my other daughter who starts school this year. Oh, one other point, kids can open the lid by themselves. Great buy!

I have had good luck with ziplock boxes in the past,so with Thanksgiving approaching I bought a set of these for about $2.50 at the local grocery store -- granted they were on sale. The lid is actually fitted to the compartments, but probably not quite waterproof (haven't tested that part). I bought them to make some TV dinners from Thanksgiving leftovers, and I think they will be adequate. The main compartment looks like it was designed to hold two slices of bread with meat between them -- sometimes referred to as a sandwich. :-)

My main complaint for my purposes is that the two compartments for sides are rather small for my purposes. One is about 3" square, and the other is about 3"x2". The whole thing is just shy of 2" deep. For the price I paid, I am not complaining too much though. I could stand to loose a little weight...

Not sure why amazon is charging so much for this product. You can get them from Walmart or Kroger for a third of the cost. These containers are great compared to EasyLunchBoxes.com. The lids on the Ziplock containers snap on and seal way better than Easy Lunch Boxes. And they're less expensive. The Easy Lunch Box lady does have some great examples/photos of creative lunches and packing on her site though.

Love them. I bought 3 packs (6 total) about 3 years ago, and am still using them. I love being able to separate the kids' food (such as sliced fruit or yogurt, a dry side, and a sandwich) without having them mix. I love that with opening of a single lid, all the food is available, so there's little excuse for not eating it all. They are free of DPA, according to Ziploc. They fit perfectly in a standard small lunch box, with just barely room for a juice pack/box. The seal is not 100% waterproof, so for example, I drain most of the juice before putting in canned oranges. Kids find it a hassle to have to press on 7 or 8 spots to seal well, but this seems to be a minor disadvantge compared to the all the benefits. Over the years, one lid has started to warp, I think because it was too close to the toaster. I've not ever tried microwaving them, so I can't attest to that, but containers and lids have held up fine through the dishwasher. Avail in Target and Walmart stores for much less than here. Highly recommend.

I've been using two of these about four or five days a week for the past two years. I've put them in the dishwasher before (though usually I hand-wash them) and the microwave (with the lid pried up a bit), and they haven't melted or warped. They haven't cracked or broken in any other way either.

The big compartment is perfect for sandwiches or pasta. I use the two smaller compartments for fruit and chips or cookies. It fits enough food for a good lunch, though if I'm at work or school for a full day (8 hours) I'll need an extra snack.

The one downside to these is they aren't leakproof. I've tried to use them to hold applesauce and soup before, and it made a mess in my bag. Anything that isn't watery stays fresh and in the container perfectly fine.

I got mine at the supermarket for $3 or $4 (I don't think they were on sale).

I bought these about 4 months ago at my local department store for about $2.50. I use them for packing lunches for my two pre-schoolers on days when I work. I have yet to have a bad report of them. Granted, the lunches sit in the fridge until lunchtime and are not subjected to being tossed around or sent for loops as might be the case with a school-age user's habits, but I think there's a good chance they'd even hold up to that. I have had no issues with food mixing between compartments or leaking out entirely.

The sizes of the compartments are just about perfect. The smallest may seem small but when you start loading it up, you realize just how nice the sizes are.

Verified Purchase
Let me start by saying the 1 star is not for the product itself. I am giving 1 star because the description is misleading. I inadvertently selected this item for nearly $10 as opposed to the same item sold by amazon for $6.78. Completely my own error there. When I rechecked this product after the order was placed, I figured I'd be getting the same number of containers as I would if I had purchased direct from amazon. I received the order and was greatly disappointed to receive one package with 2 containers and not 2 packages with 2 containers. For the price it makes absolutely no sense. I decided to try to return the product and was met with disappointment again when I learned that $5.22 would be deducted from my refund for shipping costs! I do like the product, but feel ripped off.
