4.0 out of 5 stars Good Book, But Not Tough Enough
This book was great for improving my five year olds skills with tieing, buttoning, snapping and zipping, but it ripped on him the first day he got it and continued to rip as he played with it in the days following. I was sitting with him and he was not being destructive with it, it just didn't hold up.

1.0 out of 5 stars rip off
After purchasing these two books for my granddaughter, I am very unhappy with the books. The button is impossible to "button". They are only 4 pages in the book, and we did expect a buckle similar to all the closures on todays strollers, high chairs, etc. that seem to mystify the children. I wish I could return both of these my granddaughter is still just playing with the...

This books is a night-time-favorite of my grandson, and ours was in awful condition.
He was very excited to see the new one on his nightstand when he came to visit.
This books was in brand-new-condition at a reasonable cost. I was so glad I found it.

1.0 out of 5 stars bad idea, May 21, 2007
This review is from: Zippers, Buttons, and Bows (Hardcover)
This book should be made out of cloth -not paper. My child tore it the first time she used it. The paper is simply not strong enough for an activity book. The story isn't any great shakes either. Buy a cloth busy book or a Dressy Bessy instead

This is a great teaching tool for children. My son, age 3, is very attentive to this book, as there is so much for him to do while I am reading to him.Highly recommended.

1.0 out of 5 stars Hated it, November 9, 2006

This book was awful. The zipper is not stuck to the book so it is impossible for any kid to hold it and zip at the same time. The button is difficult for even an adult much less a child.

1.0 out of 5 stars Poor Quality, September 19, 2011

I bought this book to help my son gain the skills needed to do the basic dressing principles (zip zippers, button buttons, snap snaps, etc) and when I received the book over 1/2 of the featured items were missing. I think the book itself would be a nice teaching tool, IF it included the correct pieces. The seller stated that this book was in excellent quality and I would rate it more in poor quality. Very disappointed in the seller.

4.0 out of 5 stars If you need a zipper/button/bow book, this is it, June 10, 2009

I bought several zipper/button/bow books before I found this one, and it is the best, hands down. All the manipulables are fairly easy to do, well made and stand up to a lot of use.

My only hesitation in recommending it, is that two kids later, I'm not sure kids need a board book to do this -- they really prefer practicing on the real thing (especially buttons on mom's shirt)!
