I have had one of these for several years now. Its quiet, attractive, relatively compact and it really moves some air. Don't expect this to work for anything else than a few feet away, pointed directly at you. Its a desk fan, not a room fan. The blades are cloth and whisper silent. If you grab it touch it with your hand, no harm done. Also no cage or casing to gather dust or clean off. Mine looks at good now as 3 years ago when i bought it. Also, if you want something that looks nice on your desk and not just a cheap, clunky fan, the color varieties really make these stand out. The high setting I rarely use expect for in the summer.

This is also a pretty low power fan. Last year when Hurricane Ike knocked power out for a week, we used 2 of these at night (it was 90 degrees after the hurricane, go figure) to cool us and powered them off a duracell power block. Perfect solution. This is not a battery powered fan btw, duracell makes essentially a huge car battery in a case you can use for back up power.

This fan is teeny.. about the size of a large travel mug, meaning that it takes up very little desk space. It has a nice long cord, and these three fabric nylon like fan blades, meaning that when it is off it takes up even less space and can be pushed back by my pen holder. I love it.

It's plenty powerful enough to cool me at my desk, and is super quiet so the 6 people I share an office with aren't annoyed by it. It is tiny, and therefore must pretty much be pointing at me from no more than 4-6 feet away to be really cooling, but since I am only trying to cool me it's perfect. I have an odd job where I sometimes have to come and type notes after leading a walking group and I hate sitting here sweating. This little guy cools me right off. I use it all the time, as I like a cooler office than my office mates, and it just works. My office mates love it. I love it, and darnit- it's just a cute little fan for a good price. It's nicely made and seems sturdy and strong, and comes in some pretty cool colors. I chose green.

I like this little fan. I like that you don't have to worry about cleaning blades and it's a simple design. Easy to operate. I sit about 4-5 feet from it and it could use a little more power but it's adequate for a desk or office.

This is a fantastic little desktop fan.

Besides looking really cool, this little air whiz folds up quite nicely when not in use. The cloth blades are totally harmless, but move a good volume of air - at least as much as the 6" desktop fan it replaced. The motor is near silent and with no large safety cage or hard blades there's virtually no vibration.

Kudos to the engineers that took a change on fabric blades and knocked it out of the park.

All this stupid thing does is disturb the air -- it generates ZERO breeze, and ZERO relief. My old fan -- which was the same size, and had soft plastic blades you could also stick your fingers in without getting hurt -- was a miracle compared to this turkey. How did this get past even Round 1 of Vornado product review???? It's really unbelievable.

This nice little fan does move a considerable amount of air considering it's size and soft nylon blades. 110v. It's small, 2 speed, and almost totally silent. Got it for my wife as a personal fan to help mitigate her uncomfortable hot flashes. It is on a table behind the couch and blows cool air on her neck. The floppy nylon blades don't tangle in her hair if she accidentaly leans back into the fan. It's cute, safe for kids, works well, and is inexpensive. 5 stars.

I originally bought this fan so that I wouldn't have to worry about my young son sticking his fingers in it. The fabric blades give nothing more than a slight stinging slap even on high. I have had this fan for 5 years and it run constantly during the summer months. It moves a lot more air than any other fan I've owned of even twice the size! I do admit, I'm on my second one, but the first one broke shortly after I got it, but I dropped it, so that is no fault on the manufacturer!

This is a great little fan - quiet and powerful. It sits neatly on my desk, provides a cooling breeze, and doesn't send my papers flying. I love the bright color and the soft "blades". People are amazed that I can put my hand out and stop the fan. Loved it - bought two.

I am the kind of consumer that obsesses over reviews before I purchase something. I also understand that most products will always have at least one bad review to throw it out of swing. People complained about this fan as being too loud or breaking. I have not had issues with either. I don't think it's loud at all, it provides me with two separate settings of air flow and obviously doesn't collect dust. If you sit at a desk all day like me and sometimes require a nice breeze I would highly recommend with fan.
