This large trade paperback collection collects some of the earliest Zippy strips and brings us thru the mid-1980's. It's amazing, considering the topical nature of much of the material, how well this stuff holds up! But the originality of Bill Griffith's characters and their media-crazed obsessions are timeless...(We also get to see Griffy's hairstyle dramatically transform!) From my experience, I must add that Zippy is an addictive pleasure, so be careful... |
