Using the studfinder and leveler, I was able to hang a couple of shelves just fine. The stud finder I'm happy with. The laser levelers are OK - one has a bubble that's too big making it useless, but the other one works. It's a little strange that you use sticky tape (a bunch provided) to stick the thing to the wall, but it works OK - at least until you run out of the sticky tape circles.

For the price, I'm happy and it got me through the project.

[update] I have to say that the working level I have is much more rugged than I expected. I dropped it (again) tonight about 3 feet on to the concrete floor and still works like a champ. It's had several spills - some a result of trying to use the sticky tape too many times. It's not that I'm trying to reuse the tape over and over again, but what happens is that you end up sticking it and re-sticking it trying to get it at the right height. If I got another one of these, I'd try to find one that allowed some movement after being stuck to the wall.

The level/laser balls are very good (if you dont run out of the stickers, the stud finder is too basin and simple, meaning that your are better off with a later model of the same company, the one in this package is to basic.

Oh man...love this product and have a blast playing with it. It works great and the laserball's are awesome for lining up things. Your friends will be jealous.

I am not known for my prowess with tools, but I did manage to get the light to blink and hang all my paintings. Glad I cut to the chase and just purchased the best product I could.

Read the instructions. Follow the instructions, and the unit works just fine. The value is excellent.

The lasers are very clever and VERY useful. When the adhesive pads run out, the instructions have a number to order new ones. However, I found that an Amazon offered product, "Handi-Tak" works very well for the laser balls and costs next to nothing.

For this money, I don't expect gold plate. It does the job, it does it well (when used properly) and that, in my book, earns 5 stars.

Been wanting one of these for awhile now. Found my apartment was built like a trailer with narrow studs. Haven't used the level yet but, hope it works like it did on TV ad.
