I purchased this game before the holidays; we played it during a family gathering on Christmas and had a blast! The game provided hours of entertainment for the entire family--adults and children. We even took pictures during some of the required "activities," which were a hoot!

I am a huge fan of these type games, but this specific version seems to be strictly intended toward adults. I realize there is a version for kids, and in hindsight should have purchased that one.Our children (6 and 8) do not understand many of the questions, so we play as teams (my wife and daughter vs. my son and I). This was we can assist with what the questions mean and put them into context for the kids. Pros: Lots of fun. Very lively game that sparks quite a bit of conversation. Some of the challenges are great. My son and I had to switch socks for the remainder of the game (yuk!). ;-) Cons: Not enough variety in the challenges. Some of the challenges will take a LONG time, so we select another one. Even then, the game will take well over an hour to complete. As mentioned, this is a great game if you are a young couple wanting to entertain friends, but I would not recommend this for a family with under the age of 12.

I purchased this game for my 19 year old niece as one of several Christmas presents. After we had finished opening gifts, the whole family sat down and played. All 3 generations in the rooom throughly enjoyed this game. It is a perfect blend of stimulating conversation and silly tasks. We were all on the floor laughing as my nephew allowed my niece to write "Spaz" on his forehead with lipstick and nearly chocked with laughter as my brother performed a belly dance in my parent's living room. I would strongly recommend this as a game to keep around for game night with family or friends.

Clever premise, but can be frustrating to play,

The premise of this dice- and card-based board game "Would You Rather . . .?" is clever, but the application can be hit or miss. The playing board is quite small, and the chance of landing on the same square and having to repeat a similar task is not that remote. Depending on where a player lands after rolling the die, he or she may have to draw a card and complete the task or challenge described. The trouble is that many of these tasks are unduly complicated, e.g., write your own challenge question, read the challenge to other players, collect their responses, read these aloud, challenge the players to determine what the actual response was vs. the made up ones. Now, if you do this sort of challenge several times in a row, well, the fun sort of ebbs away. Another design quirk is that if a player hits the right combo of spaces and cards, he or she can win in a few turns, before anyone else makes it past the outer level to the inner sanctum, leaving everyone else a bit bored and frustrated. Some of the challenges can be quite a hoot, but if your idea of fun is not holding a wooden spoon in your mouth for three turns, getting on the floor and shaking your butt for a minute, or such, you might rather do something else. I'd rather not, I suppose.

Would you rather... have your money back?,

My family used to play a variation of this game by making up our own questions, and it was tons of fun. We always thought it could be a great product if only you could figure out a way to put it in a box and sell it. We could never come up with anything compelling enough to turn it into a board game, however, and neither could Zobmondo. The questions are uninspired, far too contrived, and are only an incidental part of the gameplay. To win at Would You Rather, you have to do "challenges," most of which involve letting other players draw on your face with makeup. Seriously. Would you rather spend your money on a parlor game you can come up with on your own, or use it to buy something else? No brainer.

Leave the board in the box, throw away the rules, and play with the cards.,

My group of friends has repeatedly played Apples to Apples and Smart Ass, but we have only played Would You Rather once. That's because it is difficult and boring. It is a great concept for a game but not well executed. The rules are diffucult to follow, the real world challenges are a major pain in the butt to pull off, gameplay is too short, and overall it is simply NOT FUN.Leave the board in the box. Forget the rules. Play with the cards only. That is the only way this game is fun. Pull out a card and ask your friends if they would rather ___ or ___. That promotes instant laughs and serious discussions. I have found that a great way to pass the time on many occasions, but it is not worth the twenty-something dollar price tag.

My family has been playing "Would you rather" for years, and a lot longer before this board game became popular. So part of me is mad that I didn't think of it first, and another part of me is really excited because its brought a classic game to life, and without all the brain power of having to think of your own questions! That is.. unless you get the challenge card. The challenges and setup of the board is simple, but turns the game into a conversational ice-breaker that is tons of fun, without complicated rules to explain. You might be trying to decide which Would You Rather choice the group would most likely choose or you might be trying to make up your own question in hopes it'll get mixed responses.. or even zany challenges like doing an interpretive dance as a cat pouncing on a mouse. Besides just being silly and fun, I was actually surprised by some of my family and friends responses to the questions. You realize how different everyone is. As a citrus-lover I was shocked to find out that most of my family would rather eat a bowl of cat food than 5 lemons!

This game works best in a group. It is fun to play, and difficult to predict. You also have to be creative at times. You find yourself thinking about the most ridiculous of circumstances. I recommend it!

Great party game! You don't even have to use the playing board. Simply hand out cards to everyone and start asking each other questions. Great icebreaker and energizer. You will laugh until your gut hurts and you will learn a lot about each other as the night progresses. A sample question might be, "Would you rather have your eyebrows grow together or have all your nose hairs show?" Yes, the humor is a little off-color, but so are family and friends. Our game evolved into personal questions like, "Would you rather Cousin Eddie handle your money or Aunt Betty watch your kids for a weekend?" Although this game was funny, I recommend steering clear of these uncomfortable situations.

I bought this game to play with family/friends and though we had a good chuckle over some of the questions the board game itself was kind of a drag. After playing the board game just once we packed the board away and kept the pack of question cards out and just asked those questions to everybody to get some fun and interesting answers.
