I did a lot of research on a pool cleaner and bought this. It was a big mistake. You have to have the pressure on the intake just the perfect amount for the temperature of the pool to get it to work. With filters and pool lines, they are never the same pressure so it quits working. It gets caught in corners and on stairs. Also the hoses get "memory" twisted. I look out my back window constantly seeing my expensive Barracuda just sitting there while the neighbors have a beautiful pool with a cheaper cleaner just making laps around their pool.

After my Haward suction cleaner broken I decided to try out something new. I went with G4. It was relative easy to setup, minimum assebly required. Make sure you read the instructions for tweeking the cleaner. Initially the G4 worked great, then it start getting stuck on in the corners and minor obsticles. After some troubleshooting, I found there wasn't enough suction to the cleaner. The filter was fairly dirty from the dirt/debris collected from the pool. After clearning the filter, the suction returned and I didn't have anymore problem with G4 getting stuck. It will work itself out of any area around my pool. I guess this is probably true with most suction pool cleaners, you have to make sure there is enough suction power in your system. Clean the pump filter regularly.

What a complete piece of crap. It is made of cheap plastic and constantly gets caught on the ladders and other equipment. I literally watch it just push dirt around, when it works, which is about half the time. The other half of the time it either gets disconnected from the hose or gets stuck sometimes for no apparent reason, or it will just go around in a little circle and leave debris in the corners of the pool. I want a refund!!
