I try new energy/protein bars for variety and to see if I'm missing out on something. The Zoe bars are a major disappointment. The roof of my mouth feels like it is coated with a grainy wax when I finish eating the bars. Unless you enjoy wax, spend your money on many good alternative bars and skip the Zoe's.

This is very brownie-like and is a very nice energy bar as a snack. This does not work at all as a meal replacement but it wonderful when the expectations are to be used as a snack.

I'm a big fan of bars, and Zoe's is the best! I've tried them all and keep coming back to Zoe's ... and the Chocolate Delight is the best of the best.
Refreshing, great texture, and the taste never gets old!

This is an excellent tasting bar. The chocolate flavor rivals that of your favorite candy bar. There is no vitamin taste as found in many other health bars. High in protein and fiber. Fits in very well with any healthy eating program.

I am absolutely addicted to this flavor as well as all of the other bar flavors. This is my breakfast, afternoon pickup or even sometimes my on the go lunch! I am never hungry when I eat my Zoe's Bars!

Shape Magazine, August 2006 issue rated Zoe's Chocolate Delight Bar as one of their favorite chocolate bars. The funny thing is that the nutrition facts for Zoe's Bars have the same terrific nutrition as the bars that they selected for their high fiber category - that means high fiber and great taste. Can't beat it for energy and satisfying your chocolate craving without eating a candy bar.

I loved the Chocolate Delight Zoe Whole Grain Bars. I really enjoyed the fact that I could eat these guilt free.

ok, so I'm not going to bash, these are my first protein bars, ever, so I have nothing to compare it to. I was expecting the worse and I was pleasantly surprised. I will say that are are filling, and give me the protein I'd want from a health food bar. The chocolate taste: haven't quite put my finger on it. initially I thought raspberry or even acai...but now I'm thinking it's probably the flax seeds? it's not bad, it's just not a milk chocolate taste, that some of these other reviewers are claiming could rival candy bars. I didn't encounter an aftertaste others have described. It is dense, but is that bad or good for health bars? beats me. I just couldn't imagine having coffee or tea with these. Way too rich to be accompanied with anything other than water, maybe milk. I will definitely finish this box as I find at 3pm they are really helpful.

I've tried all 3 Zoe Bars. (Are there more..?) My personal favorite is the chocolate-peanut butter one. I've purchased 4 boxes in the last few months of that flavor and love them as a between meal snack. They are the only thing I've found that can replace sweets for me and with no guilt after eating.

BUT...The chocolate ones are not good tasting nor is it a good texture. Too dense, too strange, odd chocolate similarity but not really chocolate and bad aftertaste. Even worse, however, are the peanut butter ones. I gave those away. At least I'll most likely eat these eventually.

The first thing I noticed about these is they are very dense, with a very waxy but dry and gritty texture. And there really is only a slight chocolate flavor, with a strange aftertaste. They are filling though, but then again so is eating compressed cardboard!
