Product Description

Editorial Review

It's not quite a model, and it's not quite a toy--it's a ZOID. This fearsome motorized Elephander seems like a model because you need to snap it together out of the plastic pieces provided. But it's also a toy, because once you've assembled the well-armed beast, it can crawl around and snap its jaws with motorized, battery-operated action. Younger kids might be intimidated by all the construction involved, but Elephander's step-by-step instructions (and the fact that you don't need any glue or special tools) help a lot. --Paul Hughes

5.0 out of 5 stars The Mighty Elephander!, February 13, 2002

This review is from: Zoids #038 trunckinator 1/72 Scale Motorized Action Figure Model Kit (2002 Hasbro) (Toy)
The Biggest Zoid released so far ( wait until the Ultra Saurus comes out) , the Elephander Towers over the competition. This is the third most powerful zoid in the Backdraft Group.
The only Backdraft zoids that can defeat it are the Neo Warskarks
and of course the Bezerk Fury. With its Darth Vader Like look (if Darth vader where an elephant I mean) And Large Aresenal the Elephander Can crush any competition.

This model's difficulty depends on how you build models. If you are a begennier I suggest you save your money and buy a Pteras or a Gun Sniper. They are easier to build, the try a Deluxe like a Command wolf, Then work up to a Zaber fang or Sheild liger, finnaly try the Liger zero or Elephander.

To Make your model look Great youll need the following.
Exzacto knife
a little bit of enamel paint (color varries on model)
brushes
Thinner
A shapie thin point marker
Batteries
A model (of course)
time
Patience
and
a snack (it helps)
Follow the directions and itll look lke the Elephander from the show.
The Elephander has two different interchangeable heads, A commander head (the one Stoler had when he leaves the Backdraft)
And the basic head (from the first Elephander episode)
He has a back mounted cannon, a radar dish, 3 interchangeble trunk peices , a bottom mounted cannon and two piolits.
When fully buit flip the switch and he walks and pulls his trunk up.
He is about the same speed as the DiBison if you have it.
I would Recommend this model to any one who likes Zoids.
If you are under 8 I suggest you get a parent to help you.

I Hope this review helped, Have fun with your model
I am.

5.0 out of 5 stars Elephander, March 27, 2002
= Durability:3.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:4.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Zoids #038 trunckinator 1/72 Scale Motorized Action Figure Model Kit (2002 Hasbro) (Toy)
It's the biggest Zoid I've bought so far, and it's also one of the best.

Don't be intimidated by the large number of parts when you get it, nearly half of them in the box are for the extra equipment. The model has two heads and three trunk weapons that you can attach to it, which makes it much more versatile than the other Zoids, since you can mix and match the parts. I have the Fighter head with the Commander ears and weapon on mine. It took me about two hours to build the model, and though it's not that hard to build, trust me when I say that you need to read the directions carefully. Some of the steps require you to assemble the pieces in a specific order, and if you don't do it right, it won't all fit together properly. And be very sure to9 see how the parts all go together on step one...I had to take mine apart and add a part I missed twice when I built mine. Building the model is where I ran into a little problem. If you use the Fighter type head and ears, be VERY careful when you put the ears together. I put on the smallest ear piece for the Fighter type (the types have different ears), then when I tried to remove it (dumbly thinking that I put it on backwards when I didn't), I broke off the peg. When you put the pieces for the Fighter type ears together, don't try to take them apart.

Aside from that, I'm very pleased with my Elephander. Its walking motion is very smooth, and the moving trunk is very cool. It's alot easier to put together than you might think when you open the box and find some 250 or so parts staring back at you, but you have to pay attention to what you're doing.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Elephander, April 3, 2002

The Elephander is the most expensive zoid out yet. It has everything it has in the show exept the missle launcher/machinegun that he uses against Liger Panzer. You can change its head from backdraft mode to federation mode.Be carful when you switch heads cause its kind of fajile and one of ths pegs might break off.Its pretty hard to build.Took me about 5 hours. For the trunk attachments it has the claw,a ground radar, and an energy sword and sheild generator.I hope this reveiw helped you.Its my favorite model....
