After a long hiatus, Zoids are back in American stores! I have a liger zero, and its cute and all. But I think it is really a pain. Everything falls off al over the place (including its head...). But my friends liger walks, parts stay on....Just BUY IT! See for yourself! Go to media play, they usually have zoids at 75% off! Its only 8 dollars! If you dont have a Media play buy it here

After a long hiatus, Zoids are back in American stores! These are a "must have" for children and adults alike- model kits that you assemble yourself, then you wind them up (or in this case, put in batteries and turn it on) and watch them do their thing! Assembly for most is quite easy, they snap together and parts are held in place with rubber plugs. They can also be disassembed easily.

Liger Zero is an impressive larger sized Zoid. There are add-on body sets available in Japan which completely change the appearance of Zero, but they have not made it to the US yet. Zero has a nice color scheme and is a very fast walker when powered up. His jaw opens and closes as he walks. Also many of the body panels are hinged and positionable to make him look more streamlined or more aggressive.

Japan has been enjoying reissues of Zoids for over a year, now finally we get them too!

5.0 out of 5 stars Buy this Zoid (if you can find one)!, December 19, 2001

The Liger Zero is easily one of the best Zoids in the new lineup. It's a guaranteed must-have for the long-time Zoid builder and first-timer alike.

The Upside:
- Very cool design, nice color scheme with the white armor components contrasting well with the black body.
- Great looking and fast walking action that looks very realistic due to the multiple articulations.
- Good molding and paint quality (at least on my example, I've heard that painting was badly done in some kits).

The Downside:
- Few weapons (just the tail-mounted laser and twin ventral cannons - unless you count jaws and claws, of course) and Hasbro hasn't released the Jager, Schneider, and Panzer armor kits yet - you could look for the original Japanese armor kits at an online store though. This is the only real sore point of the kit for me but since the Zero is SUPPOSED to be the base unit and add-on parts are available, if hard-to-find, I decided not to knock the rating down because of it.
- Feet and legs are tedious to build, but the results are well worth it.

All in all, this is definitely a Zoid to buy if you or your kids are even the least bit interested in the toys or anime series. But you better grab one (or better yet four) now `cause I know for a fact that they are flying off the shelves!

5.0 out of 5 stars Liger Zero, March 30, 2002

The Ligar Zero is a remarkable zoid. A zoid is a mechanoid fighting system that exist in a far away galaxy on Planet Zi. The ligar zero is, in my opinion the best zoid ever. It has 3 conversion units called the Jagar, Schnieder, and Panzer which have been released in Japan and are to be released some time this year in America. The liger zero jagar is equipped with 2 ion boosters, fins, and air vents that make it awesome at acceleration. The Schnieder is equipped with 7 blades that can slice a zoid in half. It is the perfect zoid for close-range combat. The Panzer is equipped with several missle arsenals and 2 hybrid cannons which make it the perfect zoid for shooting down flying zoids like the Stormsorter or Raynos. This zoid has some educational value. It is perfect for kids who love cartoons and hands-on activities. The are very fun to play with but be careful. I accidentally snapped off the wing of my Command Wolf's double barrel cannon which is the same material used to make the zoids. I suggest that if you like the zoids action figures to watch the show. The first show which is on at 6:30 AM eastern timewith a boy named Van and his zoid, the shield ligar. The second show is on at 5:00 PM eastern time on Toonami. It is about a teen named Bit Cloud and his zoid the ligar zero.

5.0 out of 5 stars Liger Zero, just plain cool-looking, February 26, 2002

Liger Zero was my first Zoid . The only problems I've ever had were when I assembled the head (I did it wrong the first time so I had to take his head completely apart to fix it) and the fact that one of his feet sometimes comes off when he's walking. Also, Liger Zero cannot walk on carpet. He just walks in place and goes nowhere. He looks very cool when he walks, though. Mine is on top on my TV, and looks awesome up there. You can take most of the white armor off and leave him very strange-looking. The Jager, Schneider, and Panzer armor kits can be found online, even though they haven't been released by Hasbro here yet (I got the Schneider armor and put it on my Liger Zero. It looks awesome on him, especially when you deploy the blades on the head.) I highly recommend Liger Zero. If you can find one, buy it!

A word of warning:
If you have no experience with models, start with one of the Basic zoids first, like the Gunsniper, before trying to assemble the L0.

I love this toy. It has amazing detail and looks just like the cartoon. It is a little challenging to build, but not incredibly difficult. It is almost impossible to break and helps kids better understand mechanics and design. I'm seventeen and I'm proud to be a Zoid collector. I can't wait until Hasbro releases the the different armor units (Jager, Schneider, and Panzer) for the Liger Zero.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Zoid, February 10, 2002

The Liger Zero is a great Zoid as a toy and on the show. The Liger Zero is piloted by Bit Cloud of the Blitz team. This model (like all of the others) is motorized and can move. The educational value of this toy is the actual building of the Liger Zero. My pieces held together very well and I have had no problem with any parts breaking. The finished product looks very good. What makes this zoid so special is its ability to change armor. The Liger Zero comes with a very neat looking white armor. Although the other armors (Jager, Schneider, and Panzer) are only available in Japan they are still very easy to get a hold of here in the United States. You can find them on ebay and other various sites by searching for zoids in search engines. I myself have ordered the Jager armor and I must say it looks very cool. Overall this zoid is my favorite out of the ones I own. I would highly recommend it to anyone who is getting into the zoid craze.

Hey me again. I would just like to say some stuff. I recently ordered the Geno Breaker and the Lightning Saix. The Lightning Saix (like in the show) is very fast. It can easily outrun the Liger Zero. The Geno Breaker is also a great model it is a red Tyrannosaurus and it is quite big. When these two come out you should definitely get them. I like them both better than the Liger Zero. The Liger Zero is still a great zoid but not the best I think. The Liger Zero should be a part of every zoid collection though.

It's Basic not advanced zoid. I mean it's comes with 3 armors, and it's high priced. But the 3 armors are cool.

Jagur has speed-boosters and can perform a Strike Laser Claw at high speeds Rival: Lightning Saix

Scheider: Orange, but powerful can attack with the Buster Slash, and 7 Blade Attack.
Rival: Red Blade Liger

Panzer: Green,Two Hybrids Cannon attached too it's back. Can't perform a Strike Laser Claw because it's too heavy. Over-Heats easily. Can't go to fast. Perform Hybrid Cannon, and Burning Big Bang.
Rival: Elephander

The liger zero is my favorite of all my zoids models, because its fun to play with and fun to build. It took me 6 hours to build including the stickers, and I looked forward to playing with it every step. For you first time zoid fanatics i suggest the liger zero because, its fun to play with and fun to build. When The upgrades come to america it will look like a whole new zoid. So the only question is which upgrade to buy.

This Model Is awsome!! This was the first Zoid Model I got, But i reccomend that start slower. This is a great interchangable modle because of the 4 different armers you can equip it with, the basic Zero armer, the Jager, the shneider, and my favorite, the panzer. If you herd they are not selling american armor, I'll let you in on a little secret! ...
