I looked everywhere for something to hide my brillo in. I wanted something simple and modern looking and this was perfect. I can hide my brillo inside the box and then keep my sponge on top. Even though it says it's a soap dish, I wouldn't use it for that. if you're dipping a sponge in the soap a few times while cleaning, the soap inside the dish is going to get dirt in it from the sponge, like food particles, that doesn't seem very sanitary. you're better off using the regular soap bottle, but this is a great place to hide your brillo. It's great & looks nice. Easy to clean.

I bought this to look good while holding my sponge on my black cast acrylic sink. It looks great,and I use the bottom portion to hold my plastic pot scrapers for my non stick cookware.

This is a simple, but effective way of keeping your sponge off the counter. If a sponge stays wet, it tends to breed germs and smell. This device helps dry the sponge out between uses and keeps it fresher, longer. I have noticed some rust stains though, so I'll have to ensure to clean and dry it off ocassionally.

It looked great when I first got it. After a month or so, it started to rust. Not a big deal because I can spray paint it, but I did expect it to hold up better.

I love the practical design of this sponge holder. It is wonderful for hiding my grubby looking steel wool scrubbies as well as for keeping my sponge up off the sink, allowing it to dry faster. I also like that the metal top has little feet and could be used without the bottom box; it is really cute on it's own. I like this sponge holder so well that I have already ordered another to use on the opposite side of the sink.
The bottom is not big enough to hold my Dawn Polymesh Scrubbers, 3 Count (Pack of 6) which are 4 inches in diameter but I suppose if it was, it would be a little too big to fit so attractively on the back edge of my sink.
I have only owned this sponge holder for a couple days so I don't know whether or not it will rust, however I will try to remember to update this review if rust does appear or in a year or so if it remains rust-free.
