A Perfect Thermos,

This thermos has a slightly slimmer profile than most other 1-quart thermoses, but I haven't noticed any heat loss due to the thin walls. It keeps my coffee piping hot all morning and beyond, I'd say very hot for 6-8 hours. I left it in the car in freezing temperatures for the whole work day, half full, and when I got home it was still hot enough to drink.I really like the push button pouring mechanism in the cap. It seals up like a normal thermos cap, but it has a slide button that opens up a pouring opening - no need to unscrew the cap to pur another cup. I know it seals up tight since when I slide the button I get a 'swoosh' noise as the seal is broken and air sucks in. You can use the cap as a small cup and the handle works fine. You can't go wrong with this thermos.

I bought this to replace a tall, thin Nissan thermos that just didn't hold enough coffee to wake me up. This one holds more than enough. On the plus side: nice looking, convenient carry handle, well made, does well keeping liquids hot, 1 quart capacity, best of all is the Teflon coating inside makes it very easy to clean.
On the negative side: a bit bulky, obstrusive carry handle, the spout dribbles, you cannot pour out all of the contents without unscrewing and removing the cap. The hole for the liquid to flow through is at the bottom of the plug so the last bit of liquid cannot reach the hole. The dribbling is due to a small amount of liquid being left in the spout after pouring and the valve is slid closed. I have gotten in the habit of pouring one last time after the spout has been closed. EDIT: Since I wrote this review, I discovered that the cap/spout has another flaw. I took it apart and noticed, how shall I say, stuff built up inside. There are several plastic pieces molded in to hold the plunger/seal in and a big plastic piece that funnels liquid through the spout. This creates nooks and crannies you can't get at to clean. The only way to clean is to use bleach or practically boil it. If you do not perform this maintenance, you will notice bits of floatsom in your coffee as I did. It's not very nice. Your two options are to routinely take it apart for cleaning or not use the spout at all and just pour from the thermos. I have taken to the latter but care must be used when doing this as the thermos is not designed for pouring in this manner. FWIW, I'm still using it because of the other qualities that are good, especially the Teflon coating. It is still holding up very well and is still easy to clean.

I've been very happy with this bottle. I bought it to replace my old green Aladdin which just wasn't cutting it anymore. This bottle is much smaller yet holds the same amount. I've popped it open 6 hours later and my coffee was still too hot to gulp. No complaints here.
