I wouldn't recommened this book.
P. Pranke
Books that are quick and easy to read like this one appeal to me because sometimes it's hard to find time to sit down and read an epic story.
sickboy295
The story is terribly written, with multiple misspellings and ridiculous plot developments.

While the story itself wasn't bad, I really didn't find it well written at all. The dialogue wasn't believable to me. But what really bothered me the most, and I know I'm being picky, but if an author really wants to be taken seriously, they should at least know the difference between orchard and orchid, decent and descent, surmise and surmount. Yeah, yeah they're zombie stories and it's a journal, but I think it's lazy to use that as an excuse for a lack of grammar and spelling. Luckily it only cost 99 cents.

The author's tenuous grasp of the English language is perhaps the most frightening thing about this book. Aside from using words incorrectly (ex. surmount rather than surmise), the authors vocabulary and descriptions are plain and repetitive.

Zombie-lovers, look elsewhere.

With so many zombie books to choose from on Kindle I have read a lot of free sample pages. I usually don't get past the free sample pages because the stories just don't hold my interest. This story, however, was able to keep my interest. I wanted more so I bought the follow up; unfortunately I lost interest in the second book. Maybe I'll pick it back up one evening if I don't have anything else to read. I love reading zombie books, esp. the clever ones, and I have read my fair share. This one does have a different take that zombie purists' won't like. It's from the ladies point of view; as a zombie. She has a single desire to get to her sister's home and give her niece a stuffed animal gift. (She is different from every other zombie due to a partial cure. She can process thoughts.) On the way she has to learn how to manage as a zombie. It's not the best writing in a zombie apocalypse novel but it's better than most that's out there. I didn't see a lot of typos that some readers complain about. For .99 cents it's worth every penny. A solid 3.5 star rating.

I have a 12 year old that writes better. Its a neat idea for a story but the writing is terrible. Do not waste your time with this one. Even at $1 its a rip-off.

ok, well i was extremely frustrated by all the spelling and grammar mistakes. for me it ruined the whole book. while i thought the story line was ok, the fact that there was at least one error every other sentence made me read it cursing or having to re-read sentences because the mistakes complicated things.
it is a thin tiny book and that explained the price. the fact that author and publisher explain that it was published. to me it wasn't worth the money.

I think the author is on to something very creative with this novella. I love the idea that it is written through the eyes of a zombie and in journal form. What really bugged me by the end was the deplorable use of grammar. At first, it is easily overlooked as a minor mistake; however, the frequency of misused words soon becomes distracting. A paper copy of this story, in my hands, would be marked from cover to cover with corrections.

If this story only had a good copy editor to fix the grammatical errors, I think it would make an entertaining light read.

It was a good enough read. Entertaining. Could it have been better? yes but it wasn't bad, not for a dollar. Sure it was short but the author clearly says how many pages there are plus you can look at the file size. No real complaints from me. I enjoyed it.

I read the story in a few hours and I'm torn... is it strictly diary-format making the spelling errors and horrible word usage mistakes? Or is it (more likely) a good concept for a zombie story rushed to be published without another set of eyes going over the simple mistakes that would've been corrected at the first pass?

At ninety-nine cents it's a good buy and a quick read, but I'm a bit hesitant to purchase the followup eBook at any price because I labored through parts - sometimes paragraphs with multiple errors - and it takes you out of the story.

Just my opinion... to me there's still nothing better than a great zombie tale!
