4.0 out of 5 stars I lost my Pizza watching Zombie Bloodbath 2
Ordered this one online and I must admit that I was not expecting much, but my buddy and I really had fun watching this one. It has been a long time since I witnessed a trashy classic like this one. 3.0 out of 5 stars Low - budget gorefest
That is what you get.Poor story, acting, weird camera tricks, used in wrong time and wrong place, but enough gory to satisfy the gorehounds.
But I admire lifestyle of Todd Sheets:he work in haunted house, listen metal music,he is a horror fan and make his own gory movies. If for nothing else, than for this ,I want to see his other movies

Ordered this one online and I must admit that I was not expecting much, but my buddy and I really had fun watching this one. It has been a long time since I witnessed a trashy classic like this one. I think the last time we had a trashy zombie movie this good was "City Odf The Living Dead." The Gore flows free as a small town gets attacked by zombies and serial killer psychos, and even a demon scarecrow is thrown in! It was fast paced and funny, and the zombies all looked pretty cool. I really liked the view from INSIDE a guy's mouth as he gets stabbed under the chin with a knife (it goes through his tongue and into the roof of his mouth) and I liked the eyeball pulling scene. My friend had to run to the bathroom during one part and that is a sure sign of a classic. I would say that if you want a fun movie without much plot, but that is funa nd fast paced and gory, get this one.

2.0 out of 5 stars very cheap, very violent, amateurish production shot on video, March 11, 1999
This review is from: Zombie Bloodbath 2: Rage of the Undead [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This movie seems like it was filmed in one weekend with the help of the director's friends and family, and a low end camcorder. The violence is gratuitous and is utilized not to advance the story but to simply shock the viewer. The story itself is derivitive, contrived, and overall incoherent. The characters never develop beyond an half dimension and you can care less what happens to them.I realize what the director was going for,he was trying to imitate redneck zombies but he failed miserably because troma cornered the market on ultra violent, shocking, exploitation movies and it's hard to say but they do it with more class and with a serious sense of humor.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ahead of it's time and very fun zombiefest, March 31, 2004

This movie straight rules. Period. I know some people want to attack low budget movies, but this one does a great deal of crazy and good things on a low or zero budget and is much better than any fred Olen ray movies I have seen and I even like most of them! This one actually improves by leaps and bounds on the original. I liked part one for what it was, but then again, I like zombies a whole lot. Most people may not like part one, but Part two does an amazing job. I first saw this in a theater in Italy during the Fantafestival and I liked it then, but was distracted by the screaming and the people having fun. After I got the video I really loved it. I hear the DVD is coming though, so you may want to wait for it. Another review on here talked about the "in the mouth" shot and I also was shocked by it and thought it was amazing. You can tell all these people took great love and care when making this film. Director Todd Sheets has his heart in the right place and the gore all over his hands.

4.0 out of 5 stars The Undead sure know how to Party in Zombie Bloodbath 2, April 25, 2000

This review is from: Zombie Bloodbath 2: Rage of the Undead [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Moving at an incredible pace, this story of escaped prisoners, a killer scarecrow (a creepy one even!) and armies of the Undead is going to make fans of gross movies scream for more! I really found it entertaining and I was really pulled into the story. The acting ranges from good to lame, but it never takes away from the action and the fun. There's more stuff stuck into this movie than three other movies put together. There's ALWAYS something going on! It may be cheap, gritty and gory, but it sure Keeps moving and it is NEVER boring!

I would say that if you like the current mellow movies that call themselves Horror, like Urban Legend, pass this one by, but if you like movies like Evil Dead and Zombie, I'd say buy this one now and call some friends over for a good time!

5.0 out of 5 stars A ripping sequel that will please Zombie fans, May 21, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Zombie Bloodbath 2: Rage of the Undead [VHS] (VHS Tape)
I was very shocked by the quality of this one. It is very, very stylish, shot in color and black and white, with great use of computer effects and editing tricks. The story is a bit complex until you really pay attention. Three different groups of people are attacked by zombies and must merge together to survive. The zombies are brought back by an evel spirit trapped in a scarecrow. Many scenes in this are very shocking, artistic and disturbiing. I was impressed. I have not seen anyone else use video like this to create such mood and atmosphere. We also get two incedible crazed serial killers that make me laugh one minute then disturn me the next. Includes a great shot from INSIDE a guy's mouth as his tongue is impaled on a knife. I suggest all people that love zombies and gory movies get this one. The opening sequence alone is aw3esome and I don't want to give away too much.

3.0 out of 5 stars I really wanted to like this film..., July 21, 2000
This review is from: Zombie Bloodbath 2: Rage of the Undead [VHS] (VHS Tape)
I love zombie movies. There always chock-full of gore(Except for a few), the acting is usually bearable, character development is always there, and zombie effects are great. This film is... well, different. The entire film literally looks like it was shot on standard home video cameras, and there is hardly any character development. However, I love low-budget flicks, and this one is good, but not great. If you like lots of gore, than this movie is for you. There are some incredible gore scenes and the zombie make-up is fantastic.( It's obvious whre most of the budget went). And let me clear something up about the scarecrow. Yes. it is pretty creepy, but the scarecrow only gets about 2 minutes on- screen, and he didn't kill anybody during that time. There really is no plot. The only reason I can figure out why the dead came back to life is because some guy took the scarecrow's jacket. However, this is not a bad zombie flick, it is pretty good. My advice, don't buy it immediately. If you find it for rent, DEFINETELY rent it. Then, you'll see what I mean. If you like it, well, I think it was worth the money I payed for it.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Sequel That Does Improve On The Original, February 16, 2001

This review is from: Zombie Bloodbath 2: Rage of the Undead [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Great editing, creepy characters, the best zombie make up Ihave seen in a low budget film and a surprising ending makes this onefar better than part one. There are some really crazy parts with theserial killers that are so disturbing anbd brutal and it all ends inone of the BEST knifings I have ever seen on film. You have to seethis one (hint: it's shot from INSIDE the guys mouth!) to believe it!The acting is pretty strong for a movie like this, but don't expectgreat thespians. The best characters are the bad guys. The scarecrowactually did give me the creeps, but I wish I knew more about him andI would like to have seen how he was destroyed better. That is theonly MINOR flaw in an otherwise great time. Highly entertaining andthat is all that really matters to me. Be ready to for some sickeffects and a fast (very fast actually) paced movie.
