See what other customers are saying about Zombie Fairy Tales:

"To say I enjoyed this story is an understatement. I LIVED it. Kevin does an excellent job hijacking a very Fairy-Tale-esque narrator-voice, and adapting it to make way for brain-eating monsters that probably weren't thought of back in the days of Grimms." — Justin Luke, Kindle Bestselling Author of Gulliver Takes Manhattan

"Hours later (without even my coffee!) I was reading that last "page". I couldn't stop, I was happily pulled along through piles of entrails by its sweet narration. " — K. Roach

"Deliciously disturbing. I seriously couldn't put this horrific take on a classic fairy tale down. I just wish I didn't have to wait for more!" — Tine

Having grown up on Conan the Barbarian AND Cinderella I was addicted to this story as soon as I started reading. It was an unexpected find on the kindle a lazy Saturday morning. My husband had downloaded it without mentioning it and I had one of those "what's this?" moments. Hours later (without even my coffee!) I was reading that last "page". I couldn't stop, I was happily pulled along through piles of entrails by its sweet narration. It's so true that the author captured that Brothers Grimm style narration. Sure it's a gross retelling, but I have to say the nightmares that followed were worth the read (I have an over active imagination to say the least). I just downloaded his second story and I can't wait to settle into it! I just have to plan on not getting any work done once I start it though! I doubt I'll be able to put it down either.

And one last note. How brilliant is it to release a new story every 13th of the month! Love it!

Just like when Homer Simpson proclaimed, "I'm a white male, aged 25-40, EVERYONE listens to what I have to say!" before pulling out a can with a label that read "Nuts and Gum, Together At Last!", I have found my ultimate combination.

Kevin Richey's ZOMBIE CINDERELLA is Disney and Zombies... two things I cannot get enough of.

Expect lots of guts and gore (and, hey, 1-star reviewer... who the hell picks up a zombie book and DOESN'T expect gore and death? Get your head checked before a zombie eats it).

To say I enjoyed this story is an understatement. I LIVED it. Kevin does an excellent job hijacking a very Fairy-Tale-esque narrator-voice, and adapting it to make way for brain-eating monsters that probably weren't thought of back in the days of Grimms.

And, as bonus, Kevin stays relatively true to the source material. You'll LOVE his version of the fairy godmother. And while Cinderella doesn't ride in a magic pumpkin to the ball, it still, somehow, makes a cameo.

Bravo! The 13th of the month, something most people usually dread, will be an eagerly anticipated date for me. Each month, on the 13th, I get a new Zombie Fairy Tale! My brain shivers at the thought of it.

At first I was hesitant about reading it cause we all know the story. But trust me it's defiantly a different storyline. It's gruesome and somewhat disturbing but that's what spices up the story. Loved the storyline very addicting. Cant wait to see what Happens next!!

I couldn't put it down. Substitute in a zombie for a fairy god mother and the story is exactly what you think it is. Its nice to see her exact revenge on her stepmother and I am excited to read a few other of Kevin Richey's tales. It was well written and the beloved characters well known to all were expanded upon to lead into a strangely similar yet wildly different story and conclusion than the original version.

This is certainly a new twist on the Cinderella fairytale. Cinderella is scratched by an old woman with the plague after her fathers funeral. When she returns home she is ill and is mistreated by her wicked step mother and step sisters but instead of happily ever after zombie Cinderella takes over. This short story is well written and an original thought on an old tale. Its full of ick and gore (and altho not my genra of choice) will definitely appeal to those that like horror. Its not for everyone and I would put it in the over 18 category just because of the violence and the ick factor.

Cinderella wash the dishes, do the laundry, walk to your farther's funeral. Then bitten by a lady in black she becomes sick. But the chores continue.

Zombie Cinderella is a short alternate story of the pretty lady at the ball. Although leaking with blood foaming at the mouth she decided to stay home. She shows torture and her evil stepmother how to clean.

Zombie Fairy Tales are coming out each month on the 13th. Make sure to check them out!

To say that the author may want to seek professional help is an understatement. You don't just read this book, you live it. The gory descriptions bring an ugly gruesome reality in the palm of your hands. Very excited for the other stories to be released.
