Book Description

"He had dozed off, feeling safe and exhausted, in the middle of nowhere. He laid his head back just for a second, listening to the madness on the satellite radio. America has fallen! Russia has fallen! The Middle East has fallen! He fell asleep.
His eyes snapped open. A shuffle of dirt caught his ear. He wiped the drool from his mouth. The rearview mirror showed nothing. His heart raced. Something was out there. A flicker of movement caught his eye in the side view mirror. He jerked out of the way just as a hand clutched for his neck. He scrambled through the passenger side door and rolled outside."

The Facility is what the Washington D.C. officials call it. It is a day care for zombie children, tucked deep in the east coast hills. Is there a cure for the zombies? The children of the undead give them the best hope. There are those who think the zombie threat is harmless…and those that don’t. The World Humanitarian Society wants to protect the zombies…or do they? Friends, family and colleagues are set at odds, dealing with the deadly dilemma. What about the zombies? What rights do they have in all of this? Or are they just a means to another diabolical end?

5.0 out of 5 stars Zombie Dew! January 25, 2012
Format:Paperback
Like Walking Dead? Then you will love Zombie Day Care. This book is sure to grab reader's attention in the first chapter. It offers a unique perspective of how the world recovers from a zombie apocalypse. The World Humanitarian Society offers a deeper view of government involvement in societal aspects, one that makes a person consider political propaganda in our own lives. Ever consider how a zombie views us? This book gives it to you, and I must say Louie is my FAVORITE character. Overall the rhythm of ZDC is just right, and leaves you not wanting to put it down until you've devoured the very last page!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Original and fun! May 24, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I love zombies, so I was so excited to find this book! I wasn't disappointed at all! It was such a great, fun read. I also liked how the plot was original and wasn't based on other zombie movies I've watch or books I've read. It was very refreshing to read it.

The book was enjoyable to read because the story was so tightly woven and the character were well developed. I can't wait to read book 2. I think I'm addicted to this series!

And as a bonus, I do feel a bit more secure if an zombie apocalypse occurs because my husband drinks Mt. Dew all of the time, so we are covered!

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun Read September 2, 2012

I enjoyed reading this story. I am a bit of a Walking Dead fan, so when I saw this story I had to read it. I am looking forward to the second book too. I thought the characters where believable and the story idea quite interesting. Have to admit that it has been a month or so since I read the book. Should have reviewed it right away but I didn't and I am sorry. But it was an enjoyable read and I would recommend it to others especially Walking Dead fans.. Enjoy!

4.0 out of 5 stars A different kind of zombie story May 12, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This is a well written, long, free zombie story. What more could you ask for? It has all the elements of a good story, from the initial outbreak and making of a hero, to secret government plots, secret government labs, some humor, murder, a little rated pg sex, and a bad guy who gets his in the end (I was so hoping for that!).

This story appears to be a prequel to another story, but it actually stands alone well as its own story with a beginning, middle and end. This story has a good plot, which develops into other subplots as the story progresses.

Mt. Dew as zombie thorazine, Mr. Halloran, you sir, are a genius!

I will likely read more from this author.

5.0 out of 5 stars Now I'm glad I drink Mt. Dew!! May 3, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I loved the different feel of this story. It's still a zombie story, but with a different spin. What would happen if we figured out a way to make them stop and slow down?? Great story!!!

"Zombie Day Care" blends the traditional horror of the zombie subgenre with humor and action for an entirely new brand of zombie fiction.

A zombie outbreak is sweeping the world, and cities are falling into chaos as people's loved ones turn and attack--Nate McDaniel is running from his hungry zombie girlfriend Jeanine, who chases him tirelessly until a final confrontation in a convenience store. There, Nate McDaniel makes a discovery (and a pretty hilarious one) that saves the world and makes him a hero--and soon scientists are penning and observing zombies as they desperately seek a cure to turn their loved ones human again. Henry is one of those scientists, and he and his girlfriend Tori are soon facing off against the evil plans of Henry's brother, Jimmy.

"Zombie Day Care" is a fun and entertaining read, and I like how civilization hangs on beyond the initial apocalypse--it's an interesting take and stands out from the other survival-based zombie tales in the genre. It has a nice mix of gore, action, and both good and evil characters that keeps the plot moving along. Recommended to readers who enjoy well-written horror, especially horror with a sense of humor and a unique plot.

Fantastic quick read. A different spin on Zombie tales. An unexpected and very relateable story; socially, politically, morally.

3.0 out of 5 stars Needs some editing... May 26, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
it's a zombie short story, folks. it's as entertaining as a zombie short story is supposed to be.
that being said, it needs some editing ( misspellings, incorrect grammar markings, and wrong word usage abound; pronouns without a noun attached (or referred to) are a constant. the story doesn't explain much background, it leaves that to the reader's imagination.
The storyline is a new concept, though. it's well thought out and quite interesting! a good read. I'm off to read the second in the series: zombie rehab.

Overlook the editing and typos and it's a fun read, albeit predictable in some things. I waffled between 3 and 4 stars because of different things. Read more

Not bad. I could have read more, if it was available. The pace was nice. More death would have been nice.

3.0 out of 5 stars It`s not bad
It was an ok story. It did have some new ideas, but the conspiracy theory angle grew a little tiring for me. It isn`t a very long novel, so it`s a quick read. Read more

this book wasn't too bad but it also wasn't what I expected either. Maybe it just lacked the gory details that I'm used to in a zombie book.
