Its a rare treat to find stories with this much character and heart to them. These days especially the market is so full of everyone trying to either cash in on someone else's ideas or trying to one up everyone. Mark Tufo instead creates something different and truly special. Written from the perspective of a slightly demented, highly para- prepared, and good hearted protagonist. We follow Mike and his family through the truly hellish world of the undead. What makes this unique and worth your time is three main things.
1. The unique writing style immediately grabs you. This book series is written as a journal and it is heart warningly written with grammar errors the type that someone would make when writing a journal and not having access to back tracking or editing later.
2. The characters really come alive in this series. These are flawed interesting people who breath fresh life into a stale genre full of either righteous survivors or deviant monsters in human skin. From the insane mike talbot who will trick his son into opening a fridge full of three month rotting food or drag a friend ten miles through ice and snow while being chased by zombies, then you have Tommy the delightful beacon of innocent hope in a cold dark world.
3. The wit and humor. Recorded in these books is a unique sense of humor and wit that make me stop reading in order to laugh. This book series has heart.

Finally, if you are a self respecting zombie fan who has enjoyed books like World War Z and the Zombie Survival Guide, YOU NEED TO GET THIS!!!
This was a true pleasure to read.

Sincerely,
Crazy Alien

A crazy rolercoaster ride through a zombie infested world. It is full of thrills chills and a tear or two. You become part of this bizare family and their odd friends. Edge of your seat excitment? oh yeah! Each book gets better. It leaves you craving more. Mike, the most unlikley of heroes, lets us peek into his warped mind. Keep writing Mark Tufo. you are talented.

After reading the first two books I waited anxiously for the third. I downloaded it and could not but down my kindle, the entire day, I took the Talbot Family with me, to work, to wait for the kids to get out of school, on the treadmill, while making dinner. This story captivated me, the characters are so real and you find yourself rooting for them even though their situations seem so impossible. You'll laugh, and cry with them and feel their pain. Don't miss this series! Please work on #4!

Mark Tufo Has once again like his beloved Red Sox knocked the ball out of the park
In his latest opus Zombie Fallout 3:The End The story of The Talbot clan is continued as they fight their way through the zombie holocaust without giving anything away from the book I will say that the suspense is turned up a few notches here and of course there is gore galore overall a great reading experience leaving you wanting more!

What can I say? I love the Talbots on their highways and their not so "high days." I love them and after this 3rd book, I am planning the family reunion. All are welcome, just bring veggies, the meat is provided! "Eat all you take, and shoot anything that may consider YOU the menu!" Buy them all. Tommy....please pass the anchovy and raspberry poptart.

I was actually avoiding this series due to the cover art that is displayed. Glad I finally ignored it. The title is mis-leading as this is not the final book I hope as there are many plot lines not finished. The family is still together and still on the run from the character that started the epedimic. Good twists and turns and a great read but you got to pay attention or you will loose track of what is going on. The main character is exactly the type of person that most me such as myself actually are from my experience. It is funny to read his thought process and relate it to my own. This author has touched a nerve and any man will understand it and if women want a direct line into how a man thinks of certain things than they should read this book it is better than any phsychology book into the working of a mans mind.

Review for Audio book

This is book three of the Zombie Fallout series and pretty much picks up the action where book two left of. So what you get nice and even spacing in the narrative, the story is relatively original in its telling. When the action happens it comes out of left field. The main protagonist Mr Talbot comments; at the end of book two that if not for his marine training he and his family would prime rib for the Zombies. As in the previous two books the narrator does an excellent job of telling the tale, and his characterisations are very well done you really get a feel for the post-apocalyptic world, where a 500 hundred year old vampire and her perpetual hungry hordes of Zombies are homing in our survivors. What sets this tale apart from the plethora of Zombie books out there are the clear use of funny anecdotes and sprinkling of great humour/sarcasm, some reviewers have not liked the light side to these books, but I for one think they make these books. Without giving away spoilers this is a great series of books and really well told stories that are not predictable. I forget to mention. While they are alive the characters are really well rounded. If you have any interest in this type of horror genre you’ll love these audio books.
