Book Description

Seventeen-year-old Cassandra Wild thought that living in the chaos of her mother's home daycare and dealing with new feelings for Bryce, her martial arts instructor, was a struggle until her world turned upside down. When an untested vaccine kills more than just a rampant flu virus, Cassie learns how to survive in a world where the dead walk and the living... run!

This YA story is a lighthearted adventure filled with zombies, butt-kicking teenaged girls, a man obsessed with video games, an annoying but totally HOT karate instructor, and humor when needed.

Zombie Apocalypse? Bring it!

This is a young adult fictional story that includes some language, violence, and mild sexual situations. Recommended for ages sixteen and up.

Editorial Reviews

Review

I got hooked on the first book and ended up buying all three. Being scared has never been more fun. --PCElliott (Amazon Reviewer)

I rated this book a five out five. Everything in this book kept me on the edge of my seat. From the start of the zombie apocalypse to the end end of it. This book was so good it could have been made into a movie. If you like romance, laughter, blood and guts, and ZOMBIES then this is the perfect book for you --Kristine (Amazon Reviewer)

ONE OF THE BEST ZOMBIE BOOKS I'VE EVER READ:) Can't wait for the second book SECOND BOOK HERE I COME!!! --Naomi Laumoli

3.0 out of 5 stars I love zombie stories but.. November 6, 2012
By JC
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I read this book in less than a day. I am addicted to zombie apocalypse stories. However, the grammar and spelling were off on several occasions, some of the characters names were mixed up which was confusing at times. It seemed like no one proofread the book.

3.0 out of 5 stars Jumbled Apocalypse June 17, 2013
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
I love zombies...no...seriously, I LOVE ZOMBIES. I bought this book because I've read a few self pub'ed zombie apocalypse books and they were phenom. This one was so so. Now let me clarify. Great plot. Good characters. Not so awesome development or pacing. The premise is good, and you can tell the author has some raw talent. It needs a good, solid editing and some beta readers. The plot progression is startlingly rushed and the characters lacked depth. The bulk of this book is dialog and is really lacking in inner thoughts, feelings, and emotions of its characters. It almost would translate better as a screen play. I think that the author should consider a rewrite and re-release of this story, because it has some solid bones. It just needs the guts and blood and tissue of a solid zombie book. (Pun intended)

2.0 out of 5 stars Tired of authors dividing one book..... August 18, 2013
By Shar
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
The writing style is geared towards young teenagers. I can handle that. What I'm getting tired of are books that aren't... well... books. This is the last time I'm going to read a free book to find out it's not complete and have to pay for rest of the first book, in this case in two installments. Sad. If the book could stand on it's own it wouldn't need to be done this way. Finish the darn book and sell it whole! If your writing has merit then people would gladly pay for a true sequel. This is not a sequel, it's one book in three parts. This book is not worth the $5.98 it cost me to read! At best it's a $3 book if all three parts were included.

The story line isn't believable either. When someone is bitten or exposed to fluids one wouldn't just magically forget that they might turn. Infection spreads and exposure to infected blood will cause infection. Duh!

Great story! I would love to see a sequel as the story left me deeply invested in the characters and what could occur in the future.

5.0 out of 5 stars great book January 31, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I just wish it had been longer. i understand the authors need to rope us in to buy the next book but in my opinion this one was just chopped off in the middle of a book not the middle of a series. I read this in an hour and a half. But it was very good! i will purchase the 2nd book but if it chops off like #1 did just to get me to buy another 190+ pages to read I will stop there. I do hope this turns out to be a nice series because the characters are fun and easy to get into. I didn't take the time to look and see what this author has written but I will, and will look forward to anything else she come out with.UPDATE I just noticed there are 5 books in the series and they are all longer than the first :) I am looking forward to reading them all!

5.0 out of 5 stars View from a teen
This book was enjoyable. I liked the fact that the author used a teen's point of view. This shows that teen's don't need the sparkle of the characters in a book but the truth.
