5.0 out of 5 stars Cutest Zombies ever!! June 23, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Super cute, rhyming tale of Zombies. I love the creative parallel between activities of those bump in the night creatures and those of our regular kids. This story is certain to chase away some fears and give grown-ups a laugh, as well.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great fun!! June 23, 2012

Loved Zombie Kids! It's filled with fun rhymes and really terrific illustrations. Though it's written for kids ages 8 and up, adults will get a chuckle out of it, too. Zombies are my new best friends.

5.0 out of 5 stars Zombie-Kids October 22, 2014

This book completely grabbed my attention - you don't usually find books about zombie children - and I found the cover intriguing. I am so glad that I picked it up when I found it for free on Amazon. It is HILARIOUS! And the artwork is spot on. The story of a boy who goes out to hang out with the zombie children in the evenings - what they do and the lesson this boy learns from them. There is a second book and I plan on reading that one soon.

The kids LOVED it. They laughed. They whooped. They pretended they were zombies. They asked me to read it a couple of more times. They looked at the artwork. They tried to make their own zombie kids books. This one of the books I don't mind that they keep asking me for. It might only be 20 pages, but I would pay the $2.99 for it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great tool to teach tolerance and acceptance October 15, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
A great book for the Halloween season, or any other time of year. Aside from being about zombies, it also teaches tolerance and acceptance of those different from you, as in this verse:

Zombies are people
that have feelings too
They like to be loved
just like me and like you.

As with Dweck's other books, the rhymes are very easy to read, and lots of fun. She works with fabulous illustrators, and this time is no exception. I plan to share this book with my grandson in the near future, and I'm sure he will enjoy it as much as I have.

3.0 out of 5 stars A cute zombie poem with some funny illustrations. October 15, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This is a nice children's book that has a story in the form of a poem and very good pictures. It would be fine for all but the most sensitive children. It does talk about the zombie's losing limbs and using body parts in games. Most children would find it funny.
The book is too advanced for a new reader, but is just right for an adult or older child to read to a young child. And it provides lots of opportunities for dramatizing as you read.
I would recommend this book to almost all children.
