5.0 out of 5 stars Great 2 Player Action
Zombie Revenge is an excellent game. It is like Streets of Rage, mixed with Resident Evil. Blasting zombies to bits with guns may sound fun, but it's even more fun when you're hooked in with your best bud, watching each others backs! 3.0 out of 5 stars About like a Zombie Movie
I found this game in the arcade, I played it with all the money I had. Almost got to the last level, so i came back with my brother and brought enough money to guarentee our victory.

I was stoked when I found out that it was available on DC, I didn't have a dreamcast but I was impressed with a few of the other titles on DC, so I threw down a hundred bucks and got...

The graphics and sound are great, and the chance for multiple paths adds replay value. The guns are so cool, you won't be able to wait until you find the next one. The story is good, but in a game like this, story doesn't matter too much anyway. If you are a fan of fighting games, RPG's, and especially adventure/action games, then this is a must for you. I hope this helps you make your descision.

I found this game in the arcade, I played it with all the money I had. Almost got to the last level, so i came back with my brother and brought enough money to guarentee our victory.

I was stoked when I found out that it was available on DC, I didn't have a dreamcast but I was impressed with a few of the other titles on DC, so I threw down a hundred bucks and got myself a brand new DC, with controller and Memory card. I got this game as well as a few others.

Ok, now to the point. This was a waste of money, the game is impossible to beat, you have 15 lives and no saves. Maybe I am just not any good, but why do they have all the VMU games but you can't actually SAVE your game... and so I got a partner to play, but no, now you just share the 15 lives between the both of you.

This is a fun game, nice weapons, animations, controls, and all that, but its just too repetive, their is virtually no replay value, the 2 player vs. is not even worth trying. The items and enemies are in the same place everytime and there is no randomization of gameplay. Not what you want from a mindless zombie fighting game.

The story makes almost no sense, something about mutants and a computer disk, a mysterious woman hiding in a garage, a gold eye, 3 face cards, a train speeding out of control, a laser, and 3 main characters who... well who knows...

Zombie Revenge is a fully 3D brawler for 1 or 2 players. In a nutshell, it's Resident Evil meets Fighting Force. The graphics are identical to the arcade version, but the controls leave something to be desired. The gun and weapon controls are responsive for the most part, but when fighting hand to hand the controls are stiff and frustrating. That's a shame, because it would have been fun to be able to effectively use both styles of attacks in conjuntion. The theme of the game is essentially a carry over from Sega's other zombie series, The House Of The Dead. As with The House Of The Dead, the voice acting is horrible and the story is shallow. The graphics are detailed and colorful, and there is much to look at in the backrounds. While many of the enemy designs are original and creative, you will also see alot of things that will make you groan and say "Uhhh...I've seen that before". It may not be as good as it could have been, but as far as multiplayer beat-em-ups go, Zombie Revenge is currently the best one for the Dreamcast.

This game is amazing. It is very fun. There is also more than one game, you can play mini-games on the VMU like zombie fishing where you fish for zombies. Also the weapons are awesome. There are drills, flame throwers, cannons machine guns, chain guns, shotguns, and i'm sure there are many more. BUYER BEWARE, this game is VERY gory. When you get a monster with a drill, its body moves down it. This is a long fighting force only the humans are replaced with zombies. Also, you can't save it, so if you die, you start from the beggining. If you want real fun with this game, play with two people. You should also get House of the Dead 2 if you liked this game. This is a MUST HAVE for Dreamcast owners

4.0 out of 5 stars Fun but sometimes frustrating, September 4, 2004

I got this game last year but I did not have a Dreamcast. Now that I finally got one I got to say this game is pretty good. But it is very hard.I can usually beat a game within 2weeks but this one is different.I got to the last level and got killed 3 times.I was a little frustrated because all my credits were gone and I could not finish.I like the game play and it has pretty good graphics for DC.I will finish this game sometime when I have the energy to deal with the frustration.

When I popped in Zombie Revenge, I turned out the lights and turned up the surround sound, and got prepared for a ride on the scary bus. This game has awesome graphics, and it turns out my inhibitions were correct, this game is scary. Think Resident Evil with better lighting, yeah. But the pace is much faster and it is a lot more fun. But every time I play, I get to a point that is impossible to beat. You will love this game, but you will die on any more than the very easy level setting.

Geez, I hafta admit, at first, I was a little reluctant to buy this game. I had read many reviews, and some of them did not have inticing results. But, me being a fan of Die Hard Arcade, Streets of Rage, etc. I decided to take a risk and buy it anyway. Boy, was I surprised. The graphics are awesome, with great explosion effects and menacing bosses. There is an almost perfect variety of weapons, such as flamethrowers, shotguns, a drill, grenades, and my personal favorite, dual-handguns. There is even guns concealed inside guitar cases, a la Desperado. There is a nice variety of moves too. Players can pull off combos and throws easily. You can even charge gun/hand attacks. One of my favorite parts about the game is a peticular situation where you press the fire button as you are being knocked down. This results in your character (there are 3 selectable) shooting as he falls to the ground. VERY cool. My only complaint about this game is that it is rather short, and can get repetative, but I found myself playing it over and over again. Factors that will increase replay value are a two-player game, a boss mode, a fighting mode, and a training mode, where you may strenghthen a zombie via VMU. Fans of the genre should stop reading this review and buy this game....right now. Others should atleast give it a rental, it is a game that will not be soon forgotten.

1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing, November 30, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Zombie Revenge (Video Game)
I bought the game because from the description I thought it was a gun game. It does let you use the Mad Catz gun but it makes no difference where you shoot, you might as well use a regular controller. It is NOT a gun game. It is an OK fighter in that mode, unfortunately in the arcade mode it is difficult to control and you get to the first boss level almost immediately. I recommend House Of The Dead 2, Confidential Mission, and Virtua Cop 2 instead of this title if you are looking for a shooter. Although I must say for the price it is still worth playing with if you are just looking for a Dreamcast game.
From the description I believed it was a true gun game but it is not so I was disappointed.
