Editorial Reviews

Review

"Cover-to-cover apocalyptic thrills and tension - unrelenting."
-David Dunwoody, author of EMPIRE and THE HARVEST CYCLE

"In the way of comparisons, I would say Zombie Youth is Dawn of the Dead (original) meets Degrassi Junior High (a Canadian series, which was quite good for its time), and I say that with the highest compliments. That means in between crushing zombie skulls, you get loads of teenage angst and drama. It works surprisingly well...I really enjoyed Zombie Youth. It set out to do something a little bit different with the genre, and I think it accomplished that goal with aplomb."
-Bricks of The Dead

"Can readers tolerate one more book on the subject? Yes; we can if it's a good one. Zombie Youth: Playground Politics is the first in a new Young Adult series that successfully strains the curd from the milk-toast avalanche of zombie lit and makes a nice, stinky cheese from it...In a super-creepy way, he makes the end of days even more likely--almost logical...Goodhue's voice and style are flawlessly aimed at teen readers...Fortunately, much of the gross stuff is tempered by wry humor that lifts the whole book onto a higher level, nearly to adult cross-over."
-Monster Librarian

"The book (Zombie Youth) is very well written and has smooth transitions from one situation to the next...Zombie Youth is a good read. It adds a refreshing, youthful aura to the zombie genre that I haven't had the opportunity to read before."

"...thrilling and exciting as I anticipated what would happen next...I really enjoyed Zombie Youth and am curious to see what the sequel will bring."

Kudos to the author for making me care about the characters. Also for making me sit on the edge of my seat and nervously biting my nails on more than one occasion. Excellent work! I look forward to possible sequels or any other books by this talented author!

Very well written book. Grabs a hold and doesn't let go. I like the twist on who the virus affects. The characters are likeable and I enjoyed this book very much. Can't wait to see where the story goes from here.

Zombie Youth: Playground Politics is an absolutely awesome read for any zombie fan! A little less gory than some but still got just the right amount of blood, guns, and the undead to keep me satisfied. Mixed in with some teenage drama, some romance, and some intriguing (and thought inducing) ideas this book should be high on any undead lover's to read list. I personally look forward to seeing more from this author.

I enjoyed this Zombie book. For me it seemed to have the right balance of everything: hope, love, blood, gore. It was easy to follow the story.

I am so happy that I found this book! Very well written by a most talented author. It was easy to get into the characters and like the good ones and easily a big BOO for the "ugly" ones. Thank you,Mr. Goodhue for this entertaining read! Now onto the next one!!!

Well first off I was a little nervous about buying this book but I'm glad I did. First off there was more than one tipe of zombie in the book and I love that special infection in these types of books I mean how dissent I also love how the kids are pretty much in control. This book also gave a new flavor in this tipe of topic I fined I mean this was one of the first books I read and I actually gave a dam what happens to the character and the hardly ever happens to me. The ending is making me thinking what the xxx. I highly recommended this
